Since becoming engaged almost a year ago (on my honey’s B-day), and then finding out about weddingbee I have become almost obsessed with weddings…Ok I AM obsessed! Ha! You know on some of the boards a bride will post a link to her wedding website, and on her website most likely there is a link to her registry? Well lately, I find myself going to the brides registry to see what items she has registered for. It’s like my favorite thing to do! Like today I was on another board and I had been stalking this bride because we have the same venue and I know that her wedding is next month. So I went to check out her new posts to see if she had any updates, (OMG as I’m typing this I realize how crazy I sound.. I’m not really, I swear! LOL) and found a link to her registries. She had like 5, so I of course had to look at all of them. After I was done which took about 30 minutes I laughed to myself. How did I become such a stalker?? I know that some people are obsessed with their own registries, but a total strangers is a bit much. Anyone else have any secret wedding guilty pleasures?
Come on, don’t leave me hanging…

I like to stalk other people’s registries to get ideas for my own. We know a handful of people getting married this year, so I’ve checked all the brides’ registries, whether we’re invited to the wedding or not.

Oh ladies, I feel like such a creeper, too. Two of my cousins are engaged, and I found myself looking up and totally scrutinizing their registries. I know it’s weird, but I can’t help it. At least the two of you are still planning your weddings; mine is over and I’m still obsessed! Haha

@brideatbeach: I’ve done the same for DH’s two cousins getting married in the next several weeks.
I like to stalk the blog for our photographer and look at every single picture/slideshow of a wedding they do. I was sad last night when I saw they added a new entry and it bumped ours from the top. Odd feeling. More odd feelings when they used the same song for their slideshow as ours. They always use different songs so it was weird to hear ‘our song’ with someone else’s wedding pictures.

Thanks you guys! Now at least I know I’m not alone. Ok another confession. I also find myself watching wedding videos on youtube. I live near a very popular destination wedding spot so I started searching for videos of weddings in that city. I like to see what the bride is wearing, and try and guess where exactly the wedding is…I really need to get a life!
@hisgoosiegirl: I haven’t picked a photog yet, but I can totally see myself doing that! I bet I would feel sad too! LOL

If they post a link to their pro wedding pics on a blog, I like to look at the ceremony pics during their ceremony. I enjoy a healthy little cry watching them speak the words to each other. I am weird.

Facebook. If any of my friends gets married or goes to a wedding and is tagged in an album, I go through the whole album. I probably don’t even know who “owns” the album, but I look at the venue, the dresses, the flowers, and “rate” it in my head.
It helps me get ideas. Also wedding pictures are pretty 🙂

Hahaha I could watch wedding videos on youtube/vimeo for HOURS. Seriously. I love them.

I’ve been married nearly two years. I still get so excited about friend’s weddings on FB. I actually joined the Bee a year or so after getting married. I love the ring, DIY, decor, dress posts. I love to registry stalk because you can see what people like to decorate and use in their homes. I wonder if my wedding would have been a bit different if I was a Bee before it. We did a fair amount of DIY, so I think that I would have been in line with some Bees. Yeah, totally wedding stalker here. Can’t help myself. Now, I stalk baby sites and have learned a ton from other TTC bees about charting and cheering each other along with going off BC.

@chelseyn85: I did this.
The other thing I did was look at second hand wedding dress websites to see what my dress and others I had tried on looked like on real brides.
