I love those button up shirts that are monogrammed that the bridesmaids and brides wear while getting ready! However, I’m confused, would I put my future monogram or my unmarried monogram on mine??? I wouldn’t be married yet so would it be weird for me to already be wearing my new monogram?
Has anyone used those or ordered them for their wedding? What did you do?

I would use the new initials. Otherwise the shirt will be another one-day only item.

I decided not to get my button ups monogrammed for this reason. One Bridesmaid or Best Man is engaged and hasn’t decided what her new name will be yet, one is in the could-be-engaged-any-day-now club. I’m leaving them plain.

This was not an expense I could justify, but I paid for my girls’ dresses and hair and a gift…maybe this would be a nice gift!
Because I’m frugal, I think you should buy something you can wear again! New initials!

I love monograms- I think you should use your new monogram. If you have bridesmaids that are engaged or something and you don’t want to use their current monogram- you can always just use the first letter of their first name.

Oh using the first letter is a great idea! I have an engaged bridesmaid and so that would be helpful!

I’m using my bridesmaids first and middle names on personalized items for them. 4/5 are married, one is unmarried and one of the married ones hyphenated so I would have no idea how to make her monogram.
Most of them I use their first and middle name when I’m texting them, so it makes sense to use that format.

If you do get this, please don’t use this as your only Bridesmaid or Best Man gift. This is purely for pictures the morning of, and I would bet that most girls wouldn’t use it after the wedding. When do you ever wear a monogrammed button down? Personally, I would purchase a different gift (even a robe to get ready in – those would be worn again).

Oh I agree! I already have a few other things for them.
