Wow, there’s a videography board on here!?

Your video was beautiful, congrats!

We’re not planning on booking one, but I can see the appeal. 🙂

I was completely set on NOT booking a videographer until I came across a video from a friend on facebook who just got married.  I started stalking and realized videographers aren’t what they used to be – and we officially booked a videographer!! I think it can really add something special to your memories.

No videographer here. They’re beautiful but I would never sit down and rewatch. With that in mind we booked an outstanding photographer so we’d an display our pics and see them everyday.

We really, really wanted one, and right before booking, we had to decide against it. Sadly, the $2000 price tag is just too much for us.

If we happen to have extra money left over then sure, I would love one. But I am not convinced that I would actually sit down and watch the video any more often then I would look at pictures.

If we can find a reasonable but good one, then we may still get one once we review our budget once more (and if they’re open in 3 weeks). But really, I don’t want to pay $500 for a ‘meh’ video, and I cannot pay $2K for a great one that we really wouldn’t watch forever.

I’m thinking instead we’ll just have a friend capture the ceremony, and we’ll just give $150 extra to our photog to stay the extra hour for a few more special photos to display forever.

We didn’t get a videographer for our wedding and it’s probably the #1 thing I regret about the day (the only thing I regret really 🙂 ).  Our pictures are wonderful and I love looking at them, but I would also love to be able to go back and watch our first dance (it was choreographed), hear the priest’s homily again, or watch us exchange our vows.  So if you’re on the fence I would definitely urge you to get one.  After our wedding my sister also came across a company that will rent out professional video cameras for a way reduced price (compared to a videographer) and you can have a friend record the day for you and send it in and the company will edit it for you.  Just another idea if you don’t want to shell out a huge sum.

I hired one. Fiance didn’t want to but I felt I just had to! I think we are going to go with documentary style. No interviews. I hope it will still turn out beautiful.

Love love love yours BTW!

We are!  I want another form of souvenir of the wedding aside from pictures.
