I love love love the idea of exchanging secret gifts with your groom! My hunny was in the peace corp and that period in his life is very dear to him. I plan on custom framing his map of Cameroon, Africa. I thought of all of the traditional gifts like a watch, cuff links, etc. and decided that I should go with something more personal. It doesnt have to be expensive or flashy, just something that you know will melt his heart! Good luck!

We’re not doing gifts.  We decided early on that we’d spend that money elsewhere in the wedding.  Now I’m just hoping that he’s not secretly getting me a gift and I’m not going to have something for him!

We decided not to do gifts. We can put that money towards the wedding or honeymoon, which is really our gift to ourselves.

In addition to the money, it just seems like another thing to stress about. A good friend of mine has been trying to figure out a gift for about a year now (she gets married in a month). Nothing ever seems special enough or perfect enough to her, because it’s a gift that you only get to give one time (hopefully). That’s just too much pressure for me.

I had my husband’s ring engraved with our wedding date and a secret nickname we call each other.  🙂  It only $25 and he will have it for the rest of his life.  You can also find a bunch of great suggestions for groom’s gifts in this thread:
