    @calisunshine3404:  We do the same thing! We only play like once a year, and that is only if either of us remembers to buy the ticket.

    the only time i ever have was when the drawing was on our wedding night & the jackpot was super high (i forget how much). nonsurprisingly, we didnt win anything. i am considering it but won’t actually get a ticket im sure

    We are in Canada, but my dad lives in the US, I made him buy me a ticket when he came up to visit this weekend!! Lol. If a canAdian wins, we don’t have to pay tax!! (Well not as much as you guys would anyways)

    I only ever buy one lottery ticket if the jackpot gets this high.  I’ve maybe bought 4 or so in the last 3 years?  I figure a dollar is no big deal to at least have a miniscule chance so why not?

    @calisunshine3404:  none of our lotteries are taxed, of course out highest lottery is only a fraction of what yours is (about 50 million is the highest) but we get it all, untaxed.

    There is a saying that lotteries are a tax on the poor, and I agree with it. Lotteries are actually one of my pet peeves. (So, no I will not be).
