@waitingwonderland:  Yes and no. Yes, I am having a clutch to carry the essentials. No, I am not carrying it (my sister will be in charge of it).

I didn’t carry one but our reception was at a hotel. I could easily run to the room to go to the bathroom and touch up my lip gloss.

My clutch was my something borrowed and my “emergency kit.” Definitely used the makeup for touchups, and I just felt good to know that everything I needed or could possibly need was in one place. TBH, I was rarely the one holding it on the day though.

I had a small clutch I kept under our sweetheart table. I had mints, powder, lipgloss, doublestick tape, a mending kit, my BCPs, cell phone, my driver’s license (we were married on a military base that does 100% ID checks all day, everyday) and some cash to tip the bellman once we got to our hotel.

I’m one of those women who feel naked without a purse. Plus, I found an adorable clutch that I just couldn’t pass up.

@MrsPaulsBabyBallerina:  I feel completely naked without a bag too. Just the thought of not having a purse on the wedding day freaks me out! I need to have it handy.

I imagine I will keep a small clutch by our table during the reception for little “just in case” items. We’re getting married at the place we’re spending the night, so I guess I won’t need much since the room won’t be too far.

I’ll be carrying a simple clutch during the reception with the bare essentials in there.

I’ll have a little make-up bag in my bride’s room (at the venue site) with other things I might need as the night wears on. I can just slip away for a few minutes if I need anything out of the bag.

It couldn’t hurt to have a small clutch or something with lipstick, and any other essentials you’d need on the fly!

I didn’t carry one at my wedding. My mom kept all the stuff I needed in her purse for me 🙂

No I didn’t. Just have someone put your necessities under your table.

No, there isn’t anything I need to carry. My MUA will be on-site all night to do any touchups if needed. I can’t think of anything else I would need to carry with me all night.

I had a small wristlet clutch that matched my shoes and the lace on my dress. Had some final vendor checks in it, my id (you never know), lipstick, compact, shine sheets, phone, and the “thank you” sign we posed with for your thank you photos:

I carried a purse and wish I hadn’t bothered.  You just don’t have any time, stash your stuff in an emergency kit that’s kept nearby (we put ours in the ladie’s bathroom during the reception).
