They make the right red for anybody! If your skin tone is warm or you have a lot of blemishes, use a blue-red. Maybe if you don’t know how the color wheel works that makes no sense… blue-reds are very cool tones so they won’t pick up any redness or warmth in your skin. I rock the red when I’m going out. During the day, I use a deep coral. I am a girl that is never far from her lipstick. To me, if I have my face all done, then nothing on my lips, I just feel so incomplete. And what a tragedy that would be! Haha

I wear red lipstick all the time, mostly every day. I actually feel naked without it because it’s the only makeup that I wear. I don’t wear anything on my eyes because they’re super sensitive. I don’t wear anything else on my face except for nivea soft cream or cetaphil cream. I just wear chapstick, lip balm, and a slight layer of red lipstick. My skin tone is a dark olive (I’m asian), so I stick to berry reds in the winter when my skin lightens naturally (lack of sunlight) and coral reds for darker skin tones (in the summer).

Red lipstick makes me feel powerful. I like that I can feel feminine and tough at the same time. I find it’s also good for intimidating men who think women are weak or that they can’t be pretty if they’re smart and/or strong. 🙂

I have just recently started loving a red lip! I’m also pale, and I generally don’t like drawing much attention to myself and I’ve always felt that a red lip will do that! But I’ve found that when I wear it I feel empowered and more confident.
I would suggest going to a department store makeup counter, or Sephora, and having one of their makeup artists puts red lip on you. That way you can find the shade that will match your skin tone the best. what I do when I wear it is first fill my entire lip in with red lip liner (not just the outline) that way when it starts to come off, such as when you eat or drink, or as it wears off over time, it’s not as noticeable so you don’t have to be terribly concerned with touch ups.

IzzyBear: I have tried on a few others but I haven’t bought any yet…I will probably pick up Dominique before long since I am in the market for a plum. They feel so good on! I’ve always liked NARS’ formulations but this one is just above and beyond!

It took me a while to make up my mind and buy me a red lipstick. I’ve always liked how it looks on other people, but was not sure it’ll look ok on me. Well, I was wrong 😀 Every since I got me one, I wear red lips every chance I have. I absolutely LOVE the red lipstick and black eyeliner look. It’s so timeless. 🙂
