I was hoping it would happen before 2012 struck. When the ladies first started the “till the end of the year” countdown I was following, but call me lazy, I forgot/gave up really fast. I honestly keep forgetting.:) Wanna hear a sad story. My guy told me I’m getting 3 things for Christmas and they start with the letter ‘P.’ One is one of those words that is plural or singular – like deer. Another he said was once wet and I’ve kinda guessed pearls but I don’t want to confirm it cause I don’t want to ruin the surprise. And he cut me off from any more clues. I don’t think the other one is a proposal, but the closer we get, I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t sneaking into my brain.

Not so much a countdown, but a waiting to see what all the mystery is about. πŸ™‚

That’s a tough one.

I can’t help but to feel it’ll happen over the holidays, but then again I could be wrong.
All I know is that he makes me so happy πŸ™‚

I am, he told be my December of next year, so I have a countdown on my computer, but it’s hidden, so I don’t see it every day. It’s in the back of my mind, but I know it’s a while away!

I was counting down to Valentine’s Day because in August he hinted towards the next 6 months, but now he says a couple of weeks! eeeeee!

I’m counting down to NYE… honestly, I don’t really have a great reason for this, just a sneaking suspicion that he might find it a romantic date. And to provide a bit more background– we will be apart from Dec 17-30, while I spend time with family across the country.

In October he said he would propose in the next six months. It’s definitely not happening for Christmas and I can’t really see him doing it before March. But honestly I’d be happy with April, I just hope he meant what he said! Anyone else have fears that their SO won’t stick to thier “proposed” timeline?

@lizzyflitz: YES! We don’t have a particular engagement timeline, but we did agree to get married in June 2012. As the days tick by, I am becoming sooo worried/cynical about this actually happening. Trying to stay hopeful!

i guess my countdown would be until graduation….so like, the beginning of may. at least, based on the clues, that’s what i suspect. i still don’t technically, for-sure know i’m getting a proposal, but he keeps talking about a special surprise that he’s really excited for but can’t give me yet.

I am totally waiting but not counting… December is a busy month for both business and personal so I’m not really counting if that makes sense.

This spring I asked my SO what year he could see himself popping the question, he said 2011.  Tick tock, tick tock! Tongue Out
