My SIL did it for my brother. They just had it out during the reception.

I’ve never been to a rehearsal that had the groom’s cake, the groom’s cake was always at the reception, but I think it is a cool idea!

i’m not doing one… one reason is because i don’t understand the point. why two cakes? the wedding cake is OUR cake, not jus a bride’s cake… right? and i don’t wanna get sick of cake… i know that disney only serves the bottom tiers and leaves the top as an anniversary cake (and it never gets taken home… Destination Wedding cakes never do) so I’m already going to be eating cake for breakfast the first few mornings of our honeymoon…

We are doing one. It will be at the reception. I thought about having it at the Rehearsal Dinner but I decided reception so he has part of the wedding decor. The wedding is my dream wedding he just keep saying Ill be happy if your happy do what you want. So even tho the colors arent going to match and all that jazz I want him to have something very him at the reception.

We’re doing one!  It’ll be a surprise for him at our rehearsal dinner. 🙂  We’re not doing to follow any southern tradition — but more so because I think it’ll be a fun surprise and also serve as dessert at the rehearsal dinner.

We’re doing ours during the reception!  It will give our guests another option instead of the wedding cake.

My Fiance hates cake, as does his daughter…I know, right??!!!??Surprised

He absolutley loves Apple Crisp, so I am going to have homemade apple crisp for him to eat. I am thinking of going with cupcakes as well for everyone else.

I’m surprising my Fiance at the reception.  We’ll cut our cake and do the photos and then I’ll make an announcement and have his cake brought out.  It will be similar to this except with his college football team colors and our new name across the back.

I’m not crazy about groom cakes  especially the way they look in contrast with the actual wedding cake which is usually right next to it. Fiance doesnt really like them either thank goodness

@bells:  My baker actually said the same thing.  She would only agree to do one (she’s a friend) if it was completely separate from the wedding cake.  That’s why I’m having FI’s brought out on a separate table AFTER we do everything with the wedding cake.

Having the groomscake as dessert after Rehearsal dinner. Having a lot of surprises for him, and I can’t wait. It is going to be so fun.
