I originally wanted to do sparklers but the city where I’m having my wedding doesn’t allow them. Then I thought I’d have people toss rose petals. But now I’m thinking I’m just going to stay the whole time, announce the “end of the night” and thank all my guests for coming…unless my Fiance really wants a send-off.

@imanw:  We did sparklers, but it was dark by the time of our send-off. You could do a lavender toss send-off – it would smell heavenly! Our guests tossed lavender at us at the end of our garden ceremony (while the sun was still up) and I loved it.

We aren’t allowed do anything flammable or that could be thrown (stupid venue rules).  They recommended bubbles or bells.  I decided just not to do one because I couldn’t do any of the ideas I had anyways.

I haven’t gotten that far yet.  Won’t meet with the DJ for a couple more months.  But I was thinking he’d announce the last dance, then say a little something about us, announce our honeymoon destination, and call it a night.  If you come up with a good way to say good bye to your guests, let me know!
