I bought my girls lovely clutches, charm necklaces that match (I hope) their style/personality, and a pashmina with a personal nametag. We have one “down” day in between the bachelorette party in NYC and the rehearsal day and I would like to “do” something with them but I can’t really afford to take them to a spa. If I were home, I’d have a nice brunch but my wedding is across the country and my mother already has her hands full so its out of the question. We are in CT so ideas have been apple picking, spa, cocktails…

Maybe you could plan a do-it-yourself spa day at your mom’s house or hotel room?

Movie marathon! Get some fun girlie movies or wedding movies. Popcorn and pizza, too.
Pottery painting: I don’t know if there is a local place to paint something, but it is a lot fun.
Wine tasting: Wine tasting shops are growing more popular in big cities. If not:
Picnic at the Park: buy your own wine, some cheese and have a nice picnic

I like Kate’s idea of a spa day. I think that sounds really relaxing and fun.

great ideas everyone! I love the movie night/day, and paint your own pottery is always fun but one of my groomsmen owns a store here so it’s lost its novelty. I am loving apple picking with the girls: they have homemade doughnuts and hot apple cider. Too good to pass up! Maybe we can hit a wine bar after that!

I never did anything with my BMs besides gifting because I could never get them all together at the same time. I really like the options you have and I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them! It sounds like the most inexpensive option would be to have a movie night — rent a few movies and chow down on popcorn, candy, and maybe have a little wine, good times, and lots of laughing!
