Hi Bees.. I orginally wanted to do the something new, used, blue and borrowed. I just never got around to it. I hate superstitions.. Did you do this tradition? Do you believe in it? I just do not want bad luck in my marriage!

I don’t believe it’ll affect my luck in any way, but I like the tradition.

I am, just because I want the full “bridal experience,” so I think it will be a fun tradition. Definitely not due to superstition.
So far I only have borrowed (my cousin’s tiara) and blue (my Tiffany bracelet that has a Tiffany blue heart on it). For new I think I might do earrings, which I haven’t bought yet. Old, I will probably use something from my grandparents.

Buttercup014: I did it but purely for fun! I’m not superstitious in the slightest. I happened to have everything but borrowed anyway (including the sixpence) so I was lucky enough that my Mum offered up a couple of heirlooms to borrow which I pinned under my dress.
MrsBuesleBee: That’s such a cute ring!!

I’m doing it for fun!
Old/Borrowed – I’ll be wearing my grandmother’s wedding band on my right hand. She and my grandfather were together until he passed away. My mother currently wears it on her right hand, so I’ll be borrowing it from her.
New – Dress, shoes – whole ensemble, really!
Blue – I bought a custom patch that is going to be sewn into the lining of my dress with my and my fiance’s names sewn into it.

Did you do this tradition? Nope!
Do you believe in it? Nope!
I just do not want bad luck in my marriage! I’ve been married almost 38 years.

My best friend is getting married in May and is having her two sisters as her bridesmaids. She really wanted to have me and my other friend in her bridal party but logistically it wasn’t feasable. Instead, she has asked us to wear blue dresses and we will be her “something blue”.
I think it’s a super cute idea.
(her mum is her something old – haha!)

love this tradition, but not concerned with superstition.
old: mulitple things, including the stones in my e-ring and my wedding jewelry
new: shoes, undies, dress
borrowed: my wedding jewelry is borrowed from a family friend that deals in antique jewelry
blue: the blue sapphire cross i inherited from my grandmother, which i will pin inside the bust of my dress
sixpence: hopefully borrowing the one my sister used in her wedding in 1998, otherwise one i buy off the internet
