Lauren267:  We didn’t do any of the traditional stuff so no dances, no cake cutting, no bouquet throwing. The only thing we did do was a super super short sppech which thanked everyone for coming.

Honestly for me all that stuff is what makes a reception boring. Who wants to sit on the sidelines and watch multiple dances or sit through boring speeches with jokes most of the guests aren’t in on. And entrances just make me cringe but not as much as exits. Let’s all wave sparklers whilst try not to think about what the bride and groom are rushing off to do.

Bring on the food, drinks, mingling and dancing I say.

We are only inviting our parents to our dw so doing some of the traditional things for us would be silly!! I still want to have a dance with my soon to be hubby ( getting married in Jamaica and dreaming of dancing to bob marley is this love!) and our package comes with a a cake so well do that. If it didn’t I would probably just opt for cupcakes after dinner. Another “traditional” thing we are doing is oot bags, but since we are only having 4 guests we can personalize them.

Lauren267:  Lol, I love how you are so casual about it all! Wish I was when i got married! I spent the whole day being super stressed! If we did it all again, I’d have your attitude! 🙂
