Hi ladies. I’m 5 weeks out and keep getting the question “are you excited/nervous/scared yet?”. I’m not really any of those emotions yet actually. I have been planning for 17 months at this point and trying to just get all the boxes checked off my list and planning for the next event. We are having a Jack and Jill shower this weekend and cleaning, preparing, etc for that.
When am I going to get all excited, nervous, scared, freak out? When did this happen for you? I’m more freaked out about FH and his two kids moving in and becoming a stepmom than the wedding.

I’m 8 days out and it’s starting to hit me. Your time will come. 🙂

@KristenGotMarried: It’s about damn time. 😉
I’m 5 months out as of Sunday. It’s starting to hit me, but not fully. I am nervous because of the planning aspect of it. I want everything to be perfect.

I’m over a year out and I get hints of all these emotions for just a few seconds before I realize I have loads of time. When I don’t have loads of time, I’m afraid I will be a mess.

The details involved in wedding planning, honeymoon packing, and rehearsal and rehearsal-dinner logistics are far too all-consuming and stressful to allow time for those other emotions, lol.
I’m sure I eventually would have experienced some of the others, if I hadn’t had all sorts of last-minute snags to resolve the day before and day of my wedding. It wasn’t until I was in the Bride’s room, fully dressed, with hair and make-up totally done, and everyone else was downstairs lined up and ready to process down the aisle, that I really even had time to think about what I was actually about to do! I had maybe one minute to think about it, and then it was “On with the show!”
Try to remember to breathe and to stay present in the moment on the day of your wedding. People told this to me, but I really did not truly get it, and I pretty much missed everything but the actual ceremony. At least I felt present for that, and that, of course, is the most important part of the day!

I have quite a while to go. But we have an appointment with a photographer tomorrow morning and for some reason I’m nervous as hell about it!

@KristenGotMarried: GOOD LUCK… you are so close.
The parties are starting, so I’m hoping I can at least get excited!

@hecallsmelove: THANK YOU! I can’t wait to post my recaps and then fade into obscurity.

I get this question all the time, and my response is… “uhh…. sure I’m excited.” Really, I am not super excited, and on a scale of 1-10 on excitement, I’ll guess I am a 3??? but I am looking forward to it being over with! Been planning for almost 8 months and have 8 more to go. I am glad I am not the only one that feels this way. I think I’ll be excited the week and days of!
