I still have to choose the vows, the songs, and a few more decorations.. I’m meeting with the baker next weekend & finishing up all the small touches. I am so glad its almost here, I never realized how much work really took to plan a wedding especially when you are doing it mostly by yourself!

Yeah, I still need to write my vows, finalize the cake, transportation for just myself, and what jewelry I will be wearing.

I still don’t have a guestbook!  Also need to print and assemble programs, and alphabetize placecards.  And buy and wrap bridal party gifts–guess I have less than a week to do this!! 🙂  I think if I have time I will also make backup cd’s of both my ceremony music and important dances songs for the reception.

I have my jewelry, programs, and Bridesmaid or Best Man gifts to finish (and start!), as well as the final details of the rehearsal dinner and transportation.  I think it’s actually coming together though!

I still have to finish my centerpieces haha.  That will only take a couple hrs though.  Then finish stuffing the Out of Town bags.  Probably other things too but can’t think of anything else right now.

Our caterer has been flooded out and has no road access or electricity.  Our florist’s shop was completely flooded.  And our venue is currently inaccessible because the roads are all shut down in the Catskills.

So, I thought i was almost finished, but now I may need to find a new venue and caterer with 5 days notice.  And we don’t know yet if we will be able to use our wedding insurance.

Tons to do before DD’s 9-10-11 ceremony!

Finish hand sewing on bridesmaid’s headbands

Finish the handles of the bridesmaid’s bouquets

Finish the photo booth wall

Hem the ends of the head table overlay

Measure and cut the ribbons for the pavillion wall

Bind off the bunting banners

Starch DD’s petticoat

Add bust pads to my dress <G>

Bake four batches of Mexican Wedding Cookies

Assemble the napkin/flatware/organza flower bundles

Get my house clean!

It’s a lot but I am taking next week off work and this list is nothing compared to what I started with a year ago.  Amazing to think of everything all of us have accomplished along the way isn’t it?
