We are the best of friends

We only see each other at family gatherings

We are not close right now but I'm hoping we will become close

    I don't like her!

Mr. Galaxy has one sister (about 7 years younger than I am). We are really good friends! I am living in their guest house until the wedding. She is awesome and we have the best time together. We are actually closer than I am with my sister! Both sisters (real sister and future SIL) are bridesmaids (real sister is Matron of Honor, future SIL is Maid of Honor) plus three other friends as BMs. I’m so excited to have another sister (and one who is excited to have a sister of her own!) 🙂

My husband doesn’t have any sisters, just 3 lovely brothers. But I do make a big effort to keep in touch with their girlfriends.

I use to get along with my Future Sister-In-Law….. until we got engaged and then she started demanding on how we should have our wedding and raise our future children. Every day was “You two are selfish and inconsiderate, you’re killing our parents”… and all because we said we can’t afford a wedding with over 300 people with open bar and all that. So, needless to say, our relationship has been strained and at least once a month, she calls to say to tell him that I’m an evil bitch who’s controlling his life and how he shouldn’t let me make all the decisions. Yet, getting married away was her brother’s idea.

I have an extremely difficult relationship with my only Future Sister-In-Law. She is not very nice to her brother, my fiance, and that bothers me. Not to mention that she has said really mean things about my family in the past. I have a hard time spending any amount of time with her. When I am around her I don’t usually talk, which is extremely rare for me. I just feel uncomfortable around her.

My Future Sister-In-Law is actually one of my bridesmaids.  We’re not very close, but we like each other, and I was excited about including her.  She lives 7 hours away, so we don’t see each other except at major functions.  I think she’s a little less excited about being a bridesmaid than my sister and other friend, (as in, she sort of flaked on my bachelorette), but I’m just being mellow about the fact that we’re not automatically besties.  Overall, we’re on good terms, but we’re not super close.
