Not in my first but as soon as it becomes available here, I’ll have one. I already spent 3 weeks of my first trimester with bad cold and I’d hate to think what flu could do to me.
I’ll likely already be in my 3rd trimester when it’s winter here.

My ob told me that I could get it now (first trimester) but it’s probably just as easy/safe to wait until 2nd/3rd as we’re just coming into summer here and flu season is essentially over for another 6-7 months. I would trust the science and a doctor’s advice over conspiracy theories every day.

I get an annual flu shot anyway due to having asthma. I’d actually booked in for my flu shot/asthmatic check appointment months before becoming pregnant. I found out I was pregnant a couple of weeks before the apt and told the nurse while I was there. I didn’t know if she would still do the flu shot but she said it was fine and went ahead.
So yes I did (at 5 weeks).

I think I was technically in my second (just how the timing with the release of this season’s vaccine worked out) but I definitely would’ve gotten it during the first if that’s how the cookie crumbled. As with PPs, my OB gave me the preservative free one.

Thanks Ladies, I’m loving reading all the response and I did get my flu shot. I did the preservative free one as well.
Thanks for your response, I did a ton of reading and came to that same conclusion so I did get my vaccination. I couldn’t fathom getting the flu and then wondering “what if”. Hopefully, I’m good until the anti-bodies build up. We’ve had a couple of cases in the office already. Thankfully they all stayed home and didn’t come in!

Nope. I’ve gotten one flu shot my entire life and it was last winter. Just asked my mom the other day and she said I never, ever once got one as a kid.

Yes. The clinic recommended that all patients get it so I did.

I’m 20w and have not had a single person at my OB office bring it up or ask me if I was going to get it.

Wow, I’m thinking the reason they are pushing it where I’m at is because the flu is already starting to get a lot of people sick. I work in a small office (40 people) and we just had our 4th person go out with it within the past 2 weeks. I ended up getting it, just hoping the antibodies have time to build up and I don’t catch it!
