I got my makeup done by MAC years ago for my prom. I suggest you go for a trial & get the same girl to do your makeup for your big day.

I find that they put it on thick so a trial will help to get it just the way you want it.

& take pictures. So she remembers exactly what you want for the day.

Also make sure you purchase the lipstick for the day. & you might concider doing two shades one for your ceremony & maybe something darker for the evening reception.

Good Luck I’m sure you’ll look beautiful!!

One of my best friends got married last year and had her make-up done by MAC. She looked stunning! I don’t feel comfortable posting her pic here, but she looked fantastic, and she was super happy with how it came out.

I had my make up done by mac for my engagment photos and they did a fantastic job.  I could not have asked for them to do it better – and it looked amazing in pictures.  Unfortunately though I have very sensitive skin and after wearing it for about a week I had very bad reactions and cannot use their products.  i was considering to use them for the wedding until that wasn’t an option….

I would go for a trial and see how you like it.  Most locations don’t charge you for the make up if you buy $50 worth of make up.  Have it done before you go out for the night!  If you tell them you are getting married they are super nice and helpful (I am sure they are anyways, but they really are helpful!).

I had my makeup done at MAC last weekend for a trial. I’ve never used MAC products

I liked their eye makeup, really nice shadows and liners (which I purchased), but I really did not like the foundation and bronzer/blush my girl used.  My skin hated it! Also, I was not impressed by the coverage of their foundation.  So it was a win/loose situation!

I had my make-up done at MAC a few months back just for fun.  I was bored and looking for something new.  I only had them do my eyes and got several compliments from complete strangers.  Needless to say, I purchased the shadow (and later a brush) to re-create the look myself.  I also had a lady from MAC do my make-up for a friend’s wedding, and it looked really nice.  My skin is really tricky, and the foundation didn’t look the best later in the evening (shiny and wearing off); it looked good until the reception- about 7 hours after I’d had it done.  I have a friend who wears all MAC, and she loves it.  I agree with the other posts about getting a trial and then having the same girl do it for the wedding if you like it.

I plan on having them do my make-up as well. My Maid/Matron of Honor turned me onto them. The mineral spray is the best! Sets your make-up & makes you look glowing

I really like Mac products and I would recommend a trial run as well.  They carry a wide array of foundations – some light coverage to full coverage.  Its best to describe your skin type and desired coverage to your artist prior to getting your makeup done.  That way she/he can choose a foundation that will work best for you skin type and desired coverage.

MAC did my makeup for my wedding last weekend, and it was unbelievable.  And i live in South Alabama where it was HOT and HUMID, and that makeup didn’t budge.

This is the only pro pic i have back so far, but it doesn’t do it justice.

i love MAC and am planning to purchase a few of their items for my wedding (im planning to DIY makeup). when i’ve used it in the past it lasts foreeeevvverrr. Like put on that lipstick, go out on the town, wakeup the next morning and looks like you just applied (a bit creepy, actually, but that’s what you need for a wedding i think!)

I’ve heard good and bad about MAC, so you just have to see if it works for your skin! My makeup artist told me she likes MAC for when brides want a more "intense" look because their colors are stronger but her favorite is Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, and Clinique. I have MAC moisturizer and I love it because it’s not too heavy and it smells nice.

I used Clinique Superfit foundatin, went to SLEEP in it and woke up wiht perfectkly flawless skin, not greasy at all, the next morning, and it didn’t rub off on my pillow OR make me break out.

I use Laura Mercier tinted illuminating foundation for bad skin days or night wear (mineral makeup is fine for me during the day, i was blessed with good skin) but it’s not heavy enough for a wedding.

I’ve used Mac before and don’t like the texture of the makeup because after a while the eyeshadows get hard and cake up, which to me is really disgusting. I think that Shu Uemura is a great product to use because it’s made from fine particles made in Japan that glide on to your skin to make it look gorgeous.  Although it’s a bit more expensive than Mac it, the quality is better.  You want to look great on your wedding day so I think it’s worth it to spend a little more if you can. I have pictures of the makeup artist that used the makeup on my skin.
