We’re doing a buffet. We will have about 150 guests, so it won’t be an issue.

I wanted buffet, but Future Mother-In-Law veto’d that idea. In order to keep things civil I opted for a plated dinner. It is a formal black tie wedding after all so I could totally see her point. I just hate losing 🙂

Buffets offer more options and variety. It encourages mingling between the guests and it gets people moving around which is what I really wanted.

However plated is more formal, some guests prefer not to have to walk up to a buffet table and balance their food while dressed to the nine’s.

Different strokes for different folks. I would have been OK with a buffet, plus it was $5/pp less than the plated option.

@xoxClairexox:  I’m having a meal with a few options etc. because I prefer them to buffets. Nothing worse than being stuck with stuff you hate after all the good food is gone.
