Are you going to a total new destination or a place you have visited before? And why?
We are thinking of going to Aruba, we loved it there but i’m affraid i will regret not doing something new or spectaculair.

We’re going somewhere totally new that neither of us have been before, but I don’t see a problem with going somewhere you know you love. You’ll definitely have a more relaxed vacation I think, without feeling the pressure to see and do all the new things in a new place.

I would love to go somewhere new. I would love Brazil (Twilight has a lot to answer for) However, I would be completely happy to back to somewhere I’d been before. I guess it depends on budget and where you both want to go.

We went to Jamaica, which was brand new to both of us. We had a blast! We did an all-inclusive, and it was heaven. It’s in the five year plan to try to go back :-).

We went to a mix. We had both been to Mexico, but none of the other locations.
I am currently obsessed with going to new places. I have been to so many places twice (first world problem), I am eager to do new things.

Somewhere we’ve never been. There are way too many places on my list of places to go and things to see to go to a place we’ve been before.

Well we are going to Florida, which we have been to before.
However, we are going to the Gulf Coast (Fort Meyers), and Key West… neither of which we have ever been to! I am so excited to go somewhere new, we have only ever been to Cocoa Beach in FL.

We are Eloping to a Destination Wedding over Christmas (just the 2 of us taking our Vows in Myrtle Beach overlooking the Ocean). Then a Mini-Moon (Honeymoon Part I) for a few days of Golf, Sightseeing, Shopping, and Good Food… Myrtle Beach – Savannah – St Augustine – Charleston – and back to Myrtle Beach.
Then we are back home for a couple of weeks (having a good sized Back Home Reception with Friends & Family) before jetting off to catch a Caribbean Cruise, for Honeymoon Part II. That “extended holiday” will include… Florida – San Juan – Barbados – St Lucia – Antigua – St Maartens / St Martins – St Thomas – San Juan – and then a few days back in the Southern Florida cities of Miami & Fort Lauderdale.
We’ve had the Caribbean Cruise as a Winter Getaway booked long before we got engaged, and the idea of Getting Married over Christmas came up pretty quickly (as did the Engagement) on our last visit to Myrtle Beach.
The Mini-Moon (Honeymoon Part I) are visits to places we’ve been to many times before. And some of our “Southern” favourites.
The Honeymoon Part II with the cruise takes us to a few favourites (St Maartens – and St Thomas). We are really looking forward to seeing them again, but also discovering new places as well… Mr TTR is keen on seeing St Lucia and Antigua, and although we’ve been to San Juan before (daytime) he’s excited about seeing its nightlife (me not so much). I’m just happy knowing that I get to show him my beloved Barbados… a favourite destination of my family. We both agree that if he falls in love with Barbados, we’ll make it our Winter Getaway Destination for 2014.

We’re going to Thailand and Cambodia, and neither one has been there before. I’m excited to go someplace new and experience those places with my Fiance (then DH, of course).

Puerto Rico. Fiance is from there, but I have never been.

We agreed to go somewhere new to both of us.

Brand new! I kind of like the thought of the honeymoon being a trip where you go an explore something completely new to both parties as a symbol of the new journey of your life…if that makes any sense. I didn’t want to go somewhere where I would drag my DH around to all my “favorite” spots or he would do the same to me. I wanted it to be like “well let’s explore this all together, blindly!”. We went to Belize 🙂
