I like so silly in my glasses! Plus I hardly wear them in public. However I will say that when I see people not wearing glasses and I’m used to seeing them in glasses, it looks strange to me. Wear your glasses ifyou feel uncomfortable without them. Don’t you want to look like YOU on your wedding day?

I am blind w/o my glasses.  But, I will be wearing contacts for my wedding (I have astigmatism, which is the opposite issue you have – my eyeballs are shaped like footballs).  My fiance also wears glasses, but he has mentioned maybe wearing contacts, too.

My Future Mother-In-Law also wears glasses, never contacts.  At her wedding back in the 70s, she was led down the aisle by her father, and couldn’t see a thing – not even the man waiting for her at the other end!!  She didn’t want to wear her glasses for the pictures.  She says she regrets it now.  She put her glasses on for the rest of their wedding day, and the pictures look more like her.

So I say, wear your glasses!!

Both my husband and I wore our glasses on our wedding day.  Mine were rimless and you hardly noticed them, his were a thicker black frame.  We both wear glasses every day so we wouldn’t have looked ourselves without them.  I liked the rimless for me because you could actually see my eyes and eye makeup a lot better than with my more dramatic frames.

Both Darling Husband and I wore our contacts on our wedding day. Not because we don’t like the way we look with our glasses on, but more because our guests, or the majority of them, are used to seeing us sans glasses. That, and it made things easier for our photographers to not have to deal with reflections on the lenses and the frames getting in the way of certain facial features. I usually wear my glasses everyday, but since most of my family is used to me with contacts (i used to wear contacts everyday), I opted to stick with those.

I switch back and forth pretty often between my glasses and contacts, but I will be wearing contacts for my wedding.  I decided to wear contacts because, like you, I feel like my glasses aren’t fancy or dressy enough for my wedding day.  If contacts aren’t an option for you, would you consider getting a new pair of glasses for your wedding day?  I know places like Lens Crafters have really good proces (like $100) for much more sophisticated frames.  You could pick out something that makes you feel a little more dressed up without breaking the budget  and still being able to actually see on your wedding day.  πŸ˜‰

I think people who wear glasses daily should wear them on their wedding day, as well.  I want to look like myself (albeit, a prettier version of myself) at my wedding, so I would wear glasses if that’s what I wore every other day.

I’ve worn glasses for almost 10 years, and couldn’t imagine not wearing them on my wedding day!  I can’t wear contacts for a variety of reasons, mostly due to horrible allergies and sensitivity due to light colored eyes.  I don’t think I look like myself without them and think that you should feel confident wearing them on your big day!  Have you checked out Mrs Candy Corn, her and her husband both wear glasses and she looked great on her big day πŸ™‚

I love the pics of Mrs. Candy Corn in her glasses.  I wear contacts most of the time (although I can already tell my eyes won’t put up with that forever).  I’m planning on wearing contacts to the wedding because I rarely feel dressy when I wear my glasses.  Normally I just feel a little out of it and like the perspecitve is just a little bit off…

I like the idea of getting a new set of frames you’d feel more comfortable in.  Especially if you’ve got a bit of time to save up.  It never hurts ot have a second set of glasses around.

I like the idea of a glam pair for your wedding.

Also, I know a guy who wears glasses and wore glasses for his wedding, but for the prof. photos wore a pair of glasses w/o lenses to avoid darkness under eyes and glare…
