I rarely read through an entire thread (other people’s responses) before responding – and I don’t feel guilty about it!

I usually try to skim to see if the OP has any other input to the thread and I’ll usually write a disclaimer to the OP (in case what I’m saying has been said a billion times).

I always read all the posts that the OP wrote, but don’t always read all the responses – sometimes its just too much!

I usually skim. I read all of the OP responses.

Depends on the topic and how many responses there are… If its really long, I’ll usuaully read the first few, and then the last few and try to catch up on the converaation.

Yes and no. If its offering advice I skim to make sure I dont repeat. Or to get info. I hate when I see an OP respond to something like, yes he did X and then someone 2 posts down ask, well did he do X? LOL. I just want to scream “can’t you read?!”

@ttn133: good idea! You should post to the idea board.

Almost always read all the replies first. If it’s a post like “got my dress!” or a poll on different dresses or shoes or whatever I don’t bother. If it’s a vent or advice post I’ll read the replies first.

I try to read all the responses in an advice thread. But if it’s a ‘what do you think of x/y/z’ or ‘what would you do’, then I’ll post a disclaimer that I’ve not read them all so I give my first opinion. Then I like to read them all and see if any bees have changed my mind 🙂

Sometimes, but I usually comment on threads that don’t have that many responses so I read most of them. I read the OP’s posts on longer threads but don’t respond because I know someone probably already said what I had to say.

I wish there was an identifier so you could read the updates that the OP write in the posts. It would make it a lot easier

If it’s something emotional, or a vent I try to read them, if I don’t I put a *disclaimer* on my response. But for the most part I’m very, very guilty.
