We’re having one custom made, and will find someplace to display it in our house in the future, but I don’t think you necessarily have to have one if you don’t want. Imsure your cake maker can do something so the top of the cake won’t seem so bare.

I’m planning to make ours. I’m hoping it will turn out, or esle we will not be having one. I’m using grapevine wrapped wire and shaping it into the first letter of our last name.

Im not either.  I feel like all of the ones I have seen are a little hokey (sp?) looking.  Plus they are just not important enough to either of us to spend that kind of money on.  The monogrammed ones are especially useless. We know our initials and so does everyone else at the wedding.  If the don’t seem to know than they shouldn’t be there is what I say. Then after the wedding you are stuck with a useless chunk of metal that you spent $40 on.  lol

@WhiteWedding:  Barring stumbling across something by accident that encompasses the awesome weirdness of us, probably not.  I’m thinking maybe fresh flowers.  None of the bride & groom toppers are us, monograms aren’t quite us either.  And we like different animals, so that rules out those types.

Yes, even though we’re having cupcakes. Ours was custom made, it’s us as South Park characters. They’ll be on top of the cup cake stand.

Our cake has berries on top of each layer, so it didn’t work.

I didn’t answer because I don’t know yet. We are having cheesecake but I was thinking about doing a cake topper for one of them to surprise Fiance.

I am building a cake stand and will install something on top.  Not 100% sure what though.

@Aure:  OMG this is epic.  I said we are against cake toppers above but these may be the coolest cake toppers I have ever seen.  Cute.  What is great too is that all of the young people at your wedding will probably get it and all the older ones will just think they are cute regardless of the nature of the show.  I love southpark!

Our cake topper is probably my most favourite thing I’ve bought. They’re so cheesy, but if you can’t be cheesy on your wedding, when can you be !

    Sorry its huge!

    We didn’t, exactly.

I gave our baker pretty free reign when it came to adding flowers or anything of that nature, so we had flowers on the top.

@RobotBabooshka:  This! I was having the hardest time finding one I liked. They were all too hokey, or pointless… (I agree on the monogrammed initial thing… really? Do we have to remind everyone who they’re here for?)

That being said, I found one that very strongly resembles the one that my parents have kept in their bedroom all these years… it’s at least 30 years old and still in the box! so I did get one, and I’m really happy about it 🙂

It took me a LONG time to find a topper that I liked….I almost gave up and went monogram…..I was the same way…nothing wowed me until I found this one…..

There are little blinggy rinestones on her dress and the writting is a different line from shakespeare. I loved them because her dress reminded me of mine.
