I can’t remember ever signing one at a wedding? Are they a thing of the past? I’m thinking instead of a guest book I can save all our cards and somehow organize them nicely. I’ve seen the thumb tree, but not sure I’ll have one either. What are you guys doing?

We didn’t have one but we did have a photobooth book. People added their strips and wrote a message.

We had a poster made of the skyline of the city where we were married with our names and the date. Then people signed around it. So it was a guest poster, not a book

Definitely, were going to do this. I’m not sure if it’s going to be a book or something more creative though.

We weren’t going to but we got one online. I kinda regret it though. I wish we would have done something different. We got something very pretty but it’s just your average guest book. However, I am going to just use it and not tell Fiance that I made a stupid (in my opinion) purchase lol

I was against doing a guest book at first, but I ended up getting a photo guest book from Shutterfly with our engagement pics in it. I figured that if it doubles as a photo album, I’ll be more likely to look back through it in the future.

We had a guest book, but it wasn’t a traditional book, people signed bottles of wine that we’ll drink on our 1, 5, 10, & 20 year anniversaries.

My BIL’s wife gifted us an engagement photo book to use as a guest book, and she also gifted us a thumbprint tree. We used both. ๐ People didn’t understand the photo book as a guest book, so they only signed on the white pages at the beginning and end. Oh well, I guess that’s fine. (Every time I’ve seen a photo guest book the guests signed on the photos in the sky/backgrounds of the photo pages themselves)

@Merlin29: We bought a vinyl record of our favorite album off Amazon and had guests sign on it with a grease pencil. We’re going to frame it with a copy of our vows for our first anniversary.

We are having our guests sign a large canvas print of one of our engagement photos. I am so against the tradtional guest book with leather covers and white pages with lines for me. I dislike clutter and stuff I will never look at again. At least this way, it’s something that we will have hanging up around our house.

H and I are big outdoor people and we had our guests sign canoe paddles! They are currently hanging in our library.
My personal opinion is that you should have guests sign something that you can hang/display in your home. A traditional guest book is nice, but I feel they end up getting tucked away and never looked at.

We are doing a photo quilt. Guests will sign the patches surrounding the photos and we will keep it on our couch in our living area.
