To me, the advantage of having a signature drink the whole time instead of signature drink and full bar is a budget determination. If you think you can swing it in the budget and your guests would appreciate it, give a full bar option.

We’re considering adding a signature drink to the cocktail hour only. We have a limited open bar (beer, wine and soda) as well as a champagne toast for our reception so for us, only offering the signature drink for the cocktail hour is more than enough.

We’re still trying to decide what we want. I voted for appetinis (to go along with our fall theme) but FI’s not feeling it. We both like whiskey sours so we’ll more than likely go with that.

We had signature drinks for cocktail hour only because we also had open bar…but most people loved the drink they ordered them all night!

Since our colors were purple, we had grateful dead, except renamed to grateful wed. I didn’t know my venue was going to do signature drinks until the day before the wedding so we kinda thought it up on the spot.

We are serving our signature drink to the guests as they arrive before the ceremony (reception at same location). It gives everyone a chance to relax (and arrive) before the ceremony.

the best man is a Groomsmen of a bar so he’s in charge of what the drink will actually be…probably something with champagne.

Were doing Sour apple martinis for about an hour (they match our all green forest theme) along with beer and wine. Then the bar will turn into a cash bar with a discount on those 3 choices but fully stocked with every other option under the sun. =D

i hope we will have money in the budget for two signature drinks, in addition to beer, wine, and sparkling wine.  i totally want to hear what you guys are doing for inspiration!!  i was thinking one vodka and one rum maybe?

I wanted one but there wasn’t enough time to create the idea

We served beer and wine and one signature drink.  I’d never had the signature drink before, the website I got it from called it “raspberry beer”, my friends who’d had it before called it “pink panty droppers”, so… but everyone loved it and it disappeared pretty quickly.
