    @MrsWBS:  My cathedral-length veil bustled, too! 🙂

    @HisNightOwl2014:  Ditto

    I wore a Cathedral veil and took it off for the meal, I felt guilty knowing how much money it cost my mum, but it would’ve made it awkward

    I removed my veil immediately following the ceremony. I hadn’t wanted to wear one in the first place but did so for my mother — my one concession in the entire wedding — and she knew that thing would be coming off ASAP. In fact, after stepping back into the library with DH and doing our little happily-married dance, I was already taking it out before our parents even joined us!

    For practicality’s sake I would not have worn it to the reception, since I kept my hair in its updo with headband the whole time and it would’ve been pulled out if I did. If you’re a veil person and love it, perhaps wear it for the cocktail hour and then remove it?

    I did. I loveed it so much and couldn’t stand the thought of taking it off. It made me feel so bridal and beautiful!

    I took mine off after photos/before reception, but that was just my style. I did like my veil but wanted to dance the night away and show off my pretty hair lol. It’s like a “second look”

    I’m planning on taking mine off. I didn’t really want to wear one in the first place, but I decided I’ll do it just for the ceremony.

    I plan to wear my veil for the ceremony and formal pics.  I will take if off for the reception and put flowers in my hair (I am keeping my tiara on though )

    I didn’t wear it for the reception, though looking back, my veil was what made me feel like a bride and I probably should’ve just kept it on! What other opportunity in your life will you have to wear a veil?

    I took my veil off way too early…like as we were taking pictures after the ceremony because everything got kind of crazy at that point…I wish I hadn’t done that because I loved my veil so.  I say maybe keep it on for the first dance and then take it off.
