yeah, I never knew about them until people started asking ‘what will you do for your card box?

 

mine will be wrapped in birch bark with flowers…….or a bird house

I had a cardbox made out of picture frames. We displayed our favorite engagement pics in it and it still sits in our home to display them and house certain goodies. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I was going to DIY one, but then my parents found a beautiful one and bought it for us.  It had a name plaque on the top and a lock with a beautiful key and tassel key chain.

We used a vintage train case …if you look close at this pic, you’ll see it off to the side! i made a sign in a picture frame that looked vintage too

@amanda.lynn: Thanks so much!  I think it is a really elegant variation on the traditional cardbox…

I got a lot of compliments on it.  And I still do because it is displayed in our home.  That’s what I like best about it – it wasn’t just a “wedding item”…  Also it is on a swivel so I can easily turn it every day to feature a different side/photo.
