I just find it annoying that you have to upload the picture every single time, instead of saving it in your uploaded photos like before. I still don’t get why they took that option away. I thought the update was supposed to make things easier?!

CanadianBride456: Exactly. I’m more bothered by the time it takes to scrounge around for a photo now than anything; before, it was so easy to find a previously posted photo (good ring or dress shot, DIY stuff, etc)
Weddingbee’s goal obviously was to reduce photos posted on the site. Think of all that space photos take up. It’s so much more of a hassle to upload photos and now I never do- so I guess they succeeded!

they said they were working on bringing this functionality back, except there have been no updates lately. it seems they are now spending their time adding new features instead of working on the ones they were planning. although they didn’t actually make any promises here, so really they can do whatever they want. no agreements have been violated here.
julies1949: right? it’s amazing how many people don’t understand the most basic things about the internet.

Yes! I usually read the bee while I’m at work and don’t have alot of my personal pics available. I loved the previous setup that saved all your uploaded images for future use and it’s really the main thing I miss about the old site…

same, i stopped posting photos because it is a giant pain now to seek out the photo, download and save it to my computer, and upload it to the Bee every.single.time.

There is no such thing as delete. Even if the functionality returns, just because it’s not on the Bee anymore does NOT mean it’s not or there. Every search engine has the data, and it’s forever. If you’re posting identifiable information on ANY public site, it’s permanent, and can be found forever. So don’t fool yourself into thinking a delete button does anything.

I’ve stopped sharing photos, even ones that I had previously uploaded on various threads.

MariContrary: I noticed that after I deleted photos from the old version of weddingbee, they would eventually disappear from google and bing image search, but it took a long time. that was good enough for me, it’s not like I was posting anything that could get me in trouble.
but you’re right, since there could be many ways to find old photos if somebody was searching hard enough.

I’ve never posted my face on here although i’d love for others to see me because I feel like you can connect with people more by seeing their face but not being able to delete it bothers me. I also would hate for anything I posted in the heat of the moment to come back to bite me in the butt later.

I’m not going to post many pictures of myself anymore – I’ll post pictures of decor and things, but that’ll be it.

Yes, mainly since they were saved on here and not anywhere else.
But those were mainly pics of my dogs :P. I’m shy so I don’t go around sharing pics of myself (only once or twice) but never Darling Husband. I only use pics I don’t have on fb or whatnot, but I’m not too concerned with anyone I know irl finding me here since everyone I know are still years away from getting married, I really doubt they’ll go looking for wedding sites.

You were never able to “delete it whenever you wanted.” Every single thing you put on the internet is permenant. Any thought otherwise is naive.

howtobeawife: I don’t post anything that shows my face because it is the internet. Even more so now after discovering an unmentionable site that takes what users on the Bees post to make fun. That being said I do miss that component because I did post some of the same photos and it is annoying to upload all the time. On the other hand I really like how much easier it is to re-size images

howtobeawife: I am less likely to post things now because of a post I made last week asking why people covered their faces. Bees made some valid points. I may still post engagement and wedding recaps but I am still not sure.
