I don’t weigh myself, so I don’t have a “goal weight” or anything, but I do want to lean out a bit before the wedding to ge my “goal body”.  I’ve gained some weight recently through the holidays (I’m fairly small so I can tell right away when a few extra pounds get put on), but I know once I really put my mind to it I can get my goal body.  My dress is a mermaid so I want to look my best.  Right now I am working on putting on more muscle.  I regularly workout 4 times a week, but have recently switched to heavier weights and lower reps to try to add muscle.  About 2-3 months before the wedding I will start doing lower weight and higher reps to lean out and introduce HIIT cardio to blast away stubborn fat.  I’ll also try to eat really clean the last 3 weeks before.

I don’t weigh myself, but I think when I went to the doctor’s in December I was 130lbs. I’m 5’8”, for reference. Anyway, I have zero desire to lose weight. I guess my only goal is to stay the same size so I can fit into my dress when it comes in! I go to the gym but I’ve been working out long before I was engaged.

We’re NYE but the plan is for a 2020 wedding, so we started last December to give ourselves plenty of time! He’s lost 15lbs so far, and I’ve only lost 5. It’s had me really frustrated, but I know I wasn’t trying hard enough and I’ve committed in the past week to exercising more and eating better. My healthy weight is 150-160, and I’m 230, so I’ll need the extra year or so, methinks. I’ve got 80 lbs to lose and he’s got about 25. I’m slightly jealous. But I’ve struggled with food addiction and MH issues my whole life, so I’m tentatively trying to replace eating as a coping mechanism with strength training and it seems to be helping so far!

I lost around 15 pounds for my wedding. I felt so awesome and my dress fit perfectly on my wedding! I did two rounds of the military diet & one vegetable soup cleanse. Not the most fun thing I’ve ever done but it got the job done. My advice is to watch what you eat after you get married, I gained a whole bunch of happy weight! Once the wedding was over I went on an eating rampage on my honeymoon and gained 5 pounds just in a week!

Yes. I am 5’9 and recently got up to 149 thanks to holiday and travel induglences and taking a hiatus from my trainer. My fiance and close friends say they can’t tell, but I don’t feel my best at the moment.

I am working to get back to my my goal weight of 135, which is lean and quite toned for my height/body type. This morning I was at 144, so I have about 9 lbs left to go! I hope to have this off by April for the start of the fun bridal festivities, and to not be stressed about it the months leading up to my wedding.

ETA: my current plan

2x per week workout with trainer

2x per week homework workout from trainer (1 upper body, 1 lower body)

2X per week 45 minutes of cardio

Eating is where I struggle. My trainer says that with how much I’m working out I should be eating 1,820 calories. That is hard to do when that amount isn’t supposed to include burgers, pizza, ice cream, anything I crave. I typically end up around 1600-1700 I would say. It’s much easier when I’m meal prepping, but some weeks, like this one, that went by the wayside.

I’m aiming to get toned and hopefully lose around 10lbs or so.  As of now, I’m well within the normal weight range, but I’ve put on a few pounds since fiance and I moved in together and I figured out how to cook, and also flab from being out of shape.  I’m skinnyfat, basically.  My main motivation is to become thin and cease being skinnyfat.  That may or may not involve me actually losing weight, though it would be nice.  I just want to change my diet to cut bloat and work out more.  It’s hard when it’s 15 degrees outside though.

BEEelegant : Here’s my plan, and I have already surpassed my goal and am still going strong until October. I figured I would share it in case anyone would like to join the process.

Exercise:

Cardio Kickboxing 3x per week (60 min sessions) – 4x if I can fit it in my schedule

Personal Trainer 1x per week (60 minute session)

Now for the food, the most important part. I usually miss breakfast so my trainer combined my meals in two larger meals, and it keeps me full, along with two snacks. The diet/lifestyle portion makes all the difference.

1/2 gallon of water minimum/day

Snacks (2x per day): (once before lunch and one before dinner)

RX bar (so good!) or

1/2 cup greek yogurt, mixed berries and 1/4 tbspn honey or

1/2 grapefruit or

protein shake (2 scoops protein powder made with water) & handful of almonds

Lunch

Bowl with mixed greens

5oz chicken breast, Tuna/White Fish or Turkey

1/2 avocado

1 cup rice (cooked) or starch

Dinner

5oz Beef, Ground Turkey OR Salmon

1 cup rice (cooked) or starch

1 cup vegetable (may add 1tbsp of cococnut or olive oil)

Approx 1500/cal

If anyone has any questions, please ask! I’m always more than happy to help! Good luck everyone!

I’m 5’1 and 104 lbs.

Wedding is in 4 1/2 months, and I want to weigh ~ 97.

I have been 97 before, when I was at my leanest, but I also didn’t have much muscle on my frame back then, so 97 might NOT actually be possible at this point in my life considering all the muscle I’ve put on in the last few years.

So, I’m choosing healthier food options and smaller portions, adding in jumping rope as cardio to my gym sessions, and opting for less weight, higher reps, and less rest time between sets to keep my heart rate up at the gym.

While 97 is my goal, I would be happy getting married exactly as I am today, so that definitely helps take the pressure off!

Also, diamondbeez, you can always bring the “flare” part of a mermaid dress UP to hit you at the right place. Don’t count them out entirely! For skirts where there is a line where the flare begins, you just hem at the line instead of at the bottom of the skirt.

hey Bees!

I’m currently 147 hoping to be down to 135 or less for the wedding (my comfortable weight). I’m 5’8″ for reference and I gained this weight (from being 132 or less for 10 years) from bodybuilding competitions. It absolutely destroyed my metabolism! I also chalk it up to gaining a ton more muscle in the leg area than I used to have, so I’m not too hard on myself.

I eat very well, drink a ton of water, avoid excessive sugar-free gum (since it makes you super bloated) and try to wake up for the gym 4-5 days a week. My wedding is in May so I don’t have too much time!

Hi bees!

I must lose 30 lbs before my wedding in october. I ordered my dress 2 sizes smaller than recommended. I’m going to boot camp 3 times a week + 2 gym workouts.  No more eating out. And no alcohol .

I’m 6’1 and about 155 pounds. My wedding is in May and I would like to weigh 150. I have 3.5 months to go until the big day and I’m working on toning my body. Gym 3 times per week working on arms and upper back. I run 5 miles 3-4 days per week with my dog. My diet is healthy in the traditional sense (only organic, no fast food, etc) but i am working on removing simple carbs. I will probably cut out all carbs two weeks before wedding to get rid of those last 5 pounds but will be working on toning until then.
