I am in the process of making the first muslin for my dress and was wondering if anyone else is making their’s. I would love to see the progress you have made!
I am using…. #m5806 to recreate the Davi’d dress I like.
I have 9 months and it is not a really hard dress so it should be done by the 3 month oout mark. I am posting my dress making saga on my blog if you want to check it out!

My mom and I are making my dress. (She is doing most of the work though…). Here is a link to my pattern. It will have a sweatheart neckline and will be made of satin and chiffon.

Here are some pictures of me in the dress that we made. We are almost finished. We really just need to add the detail work. This is the general construction though.

Awe thanks ladies. I have been sewing for years though not as much clothes as home stuff for the last 10 years or so. I just hope that this doesn’t stress me out too much, so I end up hating it when I am done!

Considering it…. if J gets his way and we end up waiting until spring of 11 to get married, I’m going to have MONTHS of time on my hands, most likely living at my parents’ house to save money… what better way to spend my time than making a dress?
