I don’t see why it had to be banned, people need to lighten up.

I don’t get why it would be offensive. On a side note, those angels are all GORGEOUS.

Ehhh I don’t know. I think the main beef is more that it implies even virtuous “Angels” will want in your pants if you smell like this….

Corny but not too offencive.

Not offended, but I’m not easily offended.

Axe commercials are usually pretty over the top – this one isn’t any different. I agree that people need to lighten up… it’s just a commercial!

@aardvark: Right, I’m with you. I could see how that would be offensive to people who tend to hold things more sacred. I think a lot of Americans and Westerners in general tend to not be bothered by media that treats religion flippantly.

Personally, I’ve seen a lot worse from Axe :P.

Even though the idea of angels are not strictly a religious symbol, I think because of the type of music they were playing gave it that religious undertone. So while I’m not offended in the least, I think perhaps they banned it just to be on the safe side.

Meh, no. I think it is pretty silly, but I’m not offended. And I’m very religious.

As a lifelong Catholic, part of me thinks “well, it could be crossing a line that they’re saying Axe is so amazing it can cause heavenly beings to abandon God.” But the realistic part of me thinks, “Well, OBVIOUSLY it’s just a silly cologne and it doesn’t literally cause people to abandon their faith.” 🙂 To me it’s very obviously a joke. Like EVERY axe commercial.

I think all Axe commercials should be banned.

Its gives men false hope of attracting women. 😛

I dated a guy that used it as an airfreshener. that is the most nauseating stuff ever and we aren’t together anymore, so it is more of a repellent. lol

I think given any ad or commercial, at least one person will be offended. I dont’ think anything of this one, but I guess some people will always have something to complain about.

@MissCallieJean: agreed. my husband used to wear it, and I made him stop once we got serious. He didn’t need to “attract” anyone anymore, and I couldn’t stand the smell!
