I am, but I'll never tell!

Yes, someone in my immediate family is famous (celebrity status).

Yes, someone in my SO's immediate family is famous (celebrity status).

I have a famous distant relative.

I am, sure I'll tell! (please elaborate below, and can I have your signature?)

Someone in my family is notorious for doing something pretty bad (ie: mafia, son of sam, etc.)

Nope, not famous and probably won't ever be.

Yes I am famous, but for the wrong reasons

Yes, I have family that is famous but not at celebrity level.

@SpecialSundae:  You must know someone who’s been in Taggart right?  Because all Scottish actors have been in Taggart ;P

My uncle did some research into our family’s ancestors… He discovered some pirates πŸ™‚

His research found that we’re related to Captain Morgan! πŸ™‚

Another uncle & aunt are becoming famous (not celebrities, just well known) in their field.

My brother started a band a few years ago – the band became quite well known in our area.

I wouldn’t be shocked if my other brother becomes famous in his field – I also wouldn’t be shocked if he becomes a politician…

Oh! And my grandad is well known in his field – He was president of a Bible college several years ago.  When I attended the Bible college a few years back, the staff & faculty always talked about him haha πŸ™‚ He’s written a book, etc…

I still voted NO because really none of this is major stuff πŸ™‚

@Jenlon:  Oh my god, being related to Captain Morgan is probably the coolest one I’ve seen so far.. Being related to a pirate is way more exciting than most of these. πŸ˜‰

My cousin was the second choice for Dumb and Dumber, but they went with Jim Carey instead, and I have an “uncle” who’s in the mafia, but not famous for it.

My great grandmother was engaged to one of the Chicago Car Barn Bandits way back when (Google it). She married his brother instead and changed their last name just slightly to hide their identity. It’s not really famous, and it’s losing it notority since no one knows of them anymore, but it’s interesting family history.

I have a little list of celeb connections, but that is because I am from a creative & musical family full of thespians….. but I will post this first, actually from my FI’s side. I am curious if you American Bee’s know of him. He was news to me, not popular at all in the UK, I had never heard of him, but my Fiance is so proud bless him and keeps talking about his 1st cousin… Ricky Goldin, apparently he was/is quite a well known actor in sitcoms in the USA, I have no idea..I know now, as I googled him a few years back, cute huh?

SORRY THE PIC IS SO BIG! I tried to reduce it down, it won’t allow me to, grrrrr!

Hahaha, hardly worth bringing up but sorta / I guess so.  Somehow, my mothers family is distantly related to JFK.  She never met him, but there are pictures of my grandfathers sister with him or something somewhere…the only people who actually know how it all works have passed away, sadly.  My mom just knows they’re in there somewhere, but I don’t think there’s a real bloodline anymore

My cousin, who I’ve always known and talked to, was in the 80’s movie Ironweed with Jack Nicholson and Meryl Streep…which was partially filmed in my hometown.  He’s even got an IMDB page, although he probably set it up himself hahaha.  I’ve never actually seen the whole movie hahaha.

And DH1 was the great great great (great great??) grandson of Happy Jack Chesbro, who played for the Yankees way back when.  He’s in the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, he always thought that was SO cool LOL.

Hm, my aunt went to high school with Tony Shaloub – the guy who played Monk.  And SO’s godfather is a pretty “famous” member of the Mafia.

I am a distant relative of Vassili Zaitsev, a Russian sniper war hero.  They made a movie about him some time ago called “Enemy at the Gates” in which he was portrayed by Jude Law.  FI is a direct descendent of Alexander Hamilton, as in the founder of the U.S. treasury and the face on the ten dollar bill.  I think I had a distant family member on my grandfather’s side who was a co-inventor of the John Deere tractor but had sold his interest in the company before they became huge.  What a shame.
