If the money didn’t have to go towards other things at the moment I would totally spend more than $2K on a band. And that ring IS to die for. 🙂

That is very unique! I like that. I’m afraid after tax, my matching wedding band will be 3k. I’d rather use that money for something else in our wedding. We are thinking about getting a custom ring made for half the cost, but I don’t know if that’d be weird to mix – my e-ring is Tiffany.

I spent $1950 after taxes and stuff, so close to $2k!  I love my band though and think it was totally worth it!  I’d much rather spend money on a ring I will wear and look at every day, and cut back on other wedding things like flowers which will die in two days and passed apps that no one will remember!

Yes, I spent 2300 on mine, and I’m happy with my decision.

I JUST bought the Tiffany’s .56 carat wedding band that retails for 5k plus tax for 2k…im tellin ya buying preowned is the way to go!! But, to answer your question- I would only spend money on a ring that I KNOW I can get dollar-for-dollar back my money…I know its an odd way of thinking but you never know what the future holds in terms of requiring money for emergency situations… like if I have a sick child or something, my jewelry would be the first to go!

Mine was about $900, I think. It’s a solid gold octagon with my husband’s fingerprint on the inside (custom made).

I looooove the ring you found. But, you likely could have it custom made for less. How long till the auction ends? Do you have time to go talk to a jeweler?

My finger is a 6.5 or a 7 (I can never remember…) and I’m planning on spending ~$5k on my wedding band. If you love the ring, do it. It’ll be on your finger for the rest of your life.
