@heather5743:  Awww… I WANT one!!!!   Oh my gosh, they are so cute – I can see why you’d want one!    Maybe you can convince him to go shopping for a dog before the wedding so you don’t have to worry about the stress of a new puppy on your wedding day!   And so you don’t have to wait another ten months of course!  πŸ˜‰

I don’t really want a gift from Fiance, I just want a card from him.  Whilst Fiance is the loveliest, most thoughtful, romantic man I’ve ever met, he is just not into cards.  His family never exchanged them growing up and he just never thinks of them.  Therefore, I have never received a card from him  πŸ™   We were long distance for a big part of our relationship so I have tons of lovely emails, but no card.   That’s all I’m hoping for from him….preferably with a nice, long, hand written message inside from him.

yup…I was talking to him about a couple of rather expensive items of jewelry that I wanted…he was like, “that’s kinda a lot of money…” I’ll probably have to bring it up at least several more times before he gets the idea that it’s ok to buy me something *really nice* for our wedding! lol.

@Ree723:Have you heard of the 5 love languages? It sounds like you might be a “words of affirmation” kind of person, and it would be sooo helpful if your Fiance understood that if he’s not! You guys might really enjoy reading the book together!

Fiance did not want to write our own vows. He has never been one to put his emotions and feelings out there for the world to see. He knew I wanted to write our own vows, but instead suggested that we write each other letters to open on our wedding morning, our 1st anniversary, our 5th, and a letter to open at the birth of our first child. I understand that he likes to keep his feelings about us to just us, so this is super romantic of him πŸ™‚

@heather5743: OMG I want one too!! Every since seeing the Little Mermaid when I was little. They’re seriously adorable.

I have no idea if I want anything from my groom since it’s so far away… But I’d never say no to a piece of jewelry. Maybe a nice right-hand ring in my birthstone?

I am hoping that the FH will make me a pretty piece of jewelry, which I am sure that he will.  He made my ring and I have already told him that is what I really want.

Still a ways away but I’d love for him to build me something.  He’s super handy, so maybe a box to keep my rings in?  A little love note rambling about how perfect I am for him wouldn’t hurt either πŸ˜‰

I’m giving him boudoir photos.  And a love note.  And maybe something else? I dunno.

@heather5743: I really wanted an animal wedding present… chickens!

However, Darling Husband & I didn’t see eye to eye on having more animals- we already have 2 dogs & 2 cats.

I was of course happy to settle for the gorgeous diamond necklace he bought me πŸ™‚

@tksjewelry: He made your engagement ring? That’s so cool… can you share a pic of it?

@heather5743: haha. My family’s an Old English Sheepdog family. My parents have one named Lucy while my brother’s family has one named Bucky. We don’t have a dog, but I love them to bits. They’re so sweet and a lot dumb. Nothing like a big fuzzy big backed into wanting to be scratched. They’re also super stubborn too. Some days, it can be a test of wills with them.

Lucy is the two patches girl with lots of attitude. She’s obsessed with my husband. She gets mad when we show affection because it takes from him adoring her. No joke. She’s good at waking him up when we visit because she just wants to be where he is, so she’s let into the room to hop on the bed and say hi. Then, there’s Bucky, whose a big, fluffy clown boy. He “talks” alot. It seems that male sheepdogs do that more where they’ll kind of bark talk their day.

Those dogs are adorable!!  My sister was going to get us a dog as our wedding gift, but she talked to Fiance and he nixed that idea πŸ™

I’m secretly hoping for a card full of love written by him and a guitar πŸ™‚  I’ve been wanting to learn how to play the acoustic and the steel guitar ever since I started loving country music.
