We are paying $40 per person and able to bring our own alcohol into the venue. we just have to buy a $100 liquor license & $25 a hour for a bartender

It’s different for different areas. Mine is $89.95 per person including alcohol!

As a matter of fact we will be serving lobster tail (and fillet mignon) for about $50 a head not including the tray passed hors d’oevres at cocktail hour or alcohol. We are having the ceremony and reception at one big restaurant that only does dinners so we have the place to ourselves for our lunch time wedding. I also have the good fortune of having a father that has waited 41 years for his little girl to get married so we have a bit of a budget to play with.

Not even close, and our venue usually charges $165 pp. It’s regional. For $75 I would be elated.

Ours was $175pp. That included cocktail hour with unlimited drinks and 4 appetizers, three couse dinner (salad, chicken, dessert) , about 1/2 bottle of wine per person served with dinner, and champagne toast. To upgrade to a good quality steak instead of the chicken would’ve been an extra $25 pp.
