We’re going to Hawaii in June! HOWEVER- I get free hotel rooms because I work for a hotel company, and we are using a companion fare through Alaska to get cheap flights. We would definitely not be doing this trip if not for these reasons, although we would have gone somewhere. We are looking forward to one last relaxing vacation where it’s just the two of us- we haven’t done this since our honeymoon, so I plan on enjoying every minute of it!

    ahhh, thanks purple!!

We’re not there yet but I think I would hate to be all preggers on a beach. I’d rather wait till after the baby is born, when I’m close to a breakdown, drop it off at a loving relatives and then escape to a beach somewhere πŸ˜‰

@dynamic_duo:  I love how you “settled” on Jamaica. That must have been amazing! πŸ™‚

@Snow00774:  Imagine being pregnant. And then think to yourself that realistically, after your baby is born, it’s never going to be just you and your husband EVER AGAIN. And then remember that even after your baby is born, and even if your baby is a year old, that you’re still going to worry about your baby, even if baby is safe at home with Grandma. I’m going to take my big, preggo, bikini-clad body to the pool, lay there with my Nook and a virgin pina colada, and enjoy every single minute of worry-free bliss. πŸ™‚

I really, really want to take a babymoon, especially where we didn’t have a real honeymoon, but my husband just started a new job and can’t take any time off.  Boo!  We are considering doing a close trip around Memorial Day weekend but I’m a bit unsure.  Do I want to spend $1,000-$1,500 for 3 days, or would I rather save that and do a trip down the road?  Time is beginning to run out for us (less than 3 months to go) so I’ll have to figure it out soon for sure.

We plan to take a pre-babymoon to kick start the TTC process! Kind of one last trip that we won’t be able to take for a while once we have kids. We haven’t decided when or where, although H claims to have an idea for a surprise this summer…

Well before our first we took a ‘pre-responsibility’ 3 week trip to Thailand… not really a babymoon because we weren’t preggo yet… but we started trying as soon as we got back. We travel a lot as it is so there were lots of trip while we were preganant – but no specific total relaxation babymoon.

I just got back from a true ‘babymoon’ with my second pregnancy. I went to Jamaica with some girlfriends for 5 days. Totally amazing. I seriously did nothing but read by the pool/beach, drink virgin mango daquiris, eat, and get a massage. SO SO SO relaxing and exactly what I was in need of.

This pregnancy has done me in between being sick for 20+ weeks, working full time, and chasing a toddler (under 2). I’m always exhausted. Those 5 days to relax were an amazing gift from my husband and I’m very thankful he was in favor of the trip!

Darling Husband and I really wanted to go to Disney World as a “babymoon” to preview it before LO gets here, lol. Somehow time got away from us though and I just can’t see fitting it in before the baby gets here!
