@MrsBeck:  were waiting a month after the wedding. So I’m on break from school and my mom is on break from teaching, so she can watch my daughter.

We are actually leaving less than 6 hours after the reception.  We plan to leave the reception at 12, have a limo/car service take us to pick up our luggage, and drive us an hour and a half away to the airport. Our flight leaves at 6:30am so we’ll probably just take a quick nap at the airport…maybe not the best plan in the world, but that’s the only flight we could get that didn’t require a 12 hour layover in NYC to get us to St. Lucia in the same day!

We’re leaving 2 days after the wedding, that way we can visit with out of town family and relax a bit before heading out. I’m a teacher so it only made sense to do the wedding and honeymoon over the summer.

We will be taking it next January, so about 6 months after.  We want to save up money so we can have a lot of fun, and Fiance is a phd student, so we have to go with the semester break!

We got married (Friday) on Veterans’ Day weekend and left for our honeymoon Sunday morning. We wanted to have a day to ourselves to rest, relax and spend some time with our families. We were extremely tired from our wedding so I am pretty happy we waited one day before flying out to Europe.

We’re leaving for our honeymoon a few days after the wedding. We want a few days to just relax at home before we go off traveling all over creation (aka the Harrisburg/Lancaster/Hershey area).

I think we’re going to wait a couple months after. Mostly for money reasons.

We are getting married on a Saturday and leaving for our honeymoon on Monday morning, crack of dawn! We are going to Aruba for 7 nights (Bucuti & Tara, which is an adults only resort).  I can’t wait! 🙂

We’re having a Destination Wedding in Aruba and will be there for a week. Most of the time will be spent with our families. So we’ll be having a real honeymoon in Europe a little over 2 months after.

We got married in June last year and went on our honeymoon to Paris in September of that year. So three months after the wedding

We got married in July and did our honeymoon in Dec/Jan and were on our honeymoon during our six month anniversary.  We waited to take our honeymoon to avoid monsoon season in Thailand and also to utilize our time off of work during the holidays to take a longer trip since we were travelling so far.  It was nice to spwnd the time the day after the wedding with family and out of town friends.  It did suck a bit to go right back to work on Monday like it was any other weekend, but worth it in the end.

We got married on Saturday and left for the honeymoon on Monday morning.

Honestly, I don’t know anyone in real life who wait more than a couple of days post-wedding before leaving on their honeymoons.  This is something I’ve only seen from posters on the Hive.
