Fiance is a lot taller than me, but by best friend’s husband was about about 2 inches shorter than her. For their wedding, they had custom sneakers made (I think they were Converse or Vans) so the height difference wasn’t noticeable and they had a cute keepsake.

My Fiance is 5’9″ and I’m 5’7″. I actually had a meltdown about wedding shoes because of it. I thought he’d be upset if I were taller than him for pictures and I was upset because I thought I’d look like an Amazon woman. When I actually talked to him though, he told me to wear whatever I wanted to. He reminded me that I wear 5″ heels when we go out and that he wasn’t bothered by that. I settled on a pair of 3″ heels because I figured it was a happy medium. I still got to wear my heels and I don’t feel like I tower over him. He’s mentioned getting Tom Cruise-style shoe inserts to boost his height a bit and make me feel better, but I don’t think he really cares and frankly I don’t either.

We’re about the same height. If I’m honest I’m probably taller! I found a BARGAIN pair of satin, open toe kitten heels. Seriously, the heels were *tiny*. He saw them, freaked out, and they were returned. Sigh. I’ve now got a pair of ivory flats. They were inexpensive and they fit. Do I love them? No. Will you see them under my dress? No. Just one of those things I had to let go.

my dress dictates the shoes i need to wear, i am wearing a JA 8465 tea length dress, so need heels. if i was wearing a full length dress i dont think it would matter too much.
