A few of my acquantinces are engaged/married, but out of my actual GOOD friends… only one has been engaged/married. He got married right after I met him 3 or 4 years ago. He’s divorced already 😮
So hopefully I’ll be the first to get and stay married :oP

I am the first to get engaged and the first to marry. I will be 21 on the wedding day, and Fiance will be 29. He’s not the first of his friends – a good chunk of them are married (some with babies too), and a good chunk are not married.
Everyone was happy for us. We’re international LDR, so everyone knew we had to get married young (well, young for me) to be together.

We are the 2nd in our group of friends to be engaged/married. First couple was engaged and married before anyone else. We got engaged less than a month after their wedding and our wedding is less than a year away. So now we have a married couple, us as an engaged couple, and the rest of the group is still dating.

I was 21 when we got married and my husband was 24. We were definitely not the first to get married, but we were out of just my very close group of friends. But after me 3 of them got married anyway, and most of my friends are married. My family was very happy for me.

When we get married, we will be (and are currently) 27 and 29. We are some of the youngest of his group of friends to get married, but pretty much the last in my group. All of my college roommates got married right after college when they were 22-23.

I was 21 when we became engaged, and will be 22 when we get married in August. My fiancé is 30, and I am the first of my friends to become engaged and will also be the first to get married. both of our families were extremely excited and happy for us, and both sets of parents are very involved in the wedding planning 🙂

I went to a conservative religious college so getting engaged/married young was not unusual. However, out of my close group of friends I was the 3rd to get engaged but will be the first to get married, just because I didnt want a long engagement and wanted to get married this July. That is probably somewhat unusual. My friends and I are all 22/23 years old.

I am 24 and my Fiance is 29. We have been together for 9years and first got engaged when I was 18. S I am the first of my friends to get engaged and married. However am I the only one who has noticed some resentment or jealousy from friends? I have been getting that exact vibe from my best friend/ MOH?

I feel like a baby in comparison! I will be 20 and Fiance will be 21 on the big day… we’ll have been together 3+ years.

First to get engaged, but I wont be the first to get married. Two of my friends got engaged after me but are having weddings before me. They’re both going for very casual, very non-traditional weddings though.

We were the first to get engaged but some friends got engaged shortly after & got married the summer before us. We had a pretty long engagement so it was not a big deal.

I’m 21 and Fiance is 26, we’ll be 22 and 27 when we get married. Out of my friends in relationships, I will be the last one engaged and married. Where I go to school it is very, very common to get engaged and married before 21.

We were almost the last of our group of friends to get married. We were 30/32 on our big day. However, we had been together 11 1/2 years by that point, and we’ve been together longer than all of the other couples… we just did everything backwards/slowly.

90 % of my friends are married or engaged to be married. SO and I will probably be some of the last to get married, which I’m ok with. To a point.

@LostInWonderland: I got engaged at 22, and will getting married this summer at 24. Fiance is a year older than I am. My best friend was engaged very briefly two years ago but their relationship ended…so I will be the first to get married. I do have several acquaintances or former friends (lost contact when I transferred high schools back in the day) who are married, but nobody in my main circles are married or even engaged yet.
