I’m actually the last of my close friends to get married.  I’m 27, so pretty average age.  It’s just that all of them married quite young, basically immediately out of college.

My Fiance, at 25, is in the opposite situation – the first in a group of friends to get either engaged or married.

My best friend was engaged around Thanksgiving and married back on the 4th. My boyfriend asked me before last Christmas, just after I turned 22. We plan to get married next June, by then we will both be 23.

It’s gonna be close for my best friend & I. I have a feeling we will be getting engaged right around the same time as each other, though she may have the wedding first (we’re having a 2 year long engagement)….another of my friends has mentioned she thinks her SO will propose soon but idk if her SO is on the same page lol both of those friends are a few years older than me though.

I’m definitely the first to get engaged. I’m 19 and will still be 19 when we get married (yes I know, I’m young, but I’m sure it’s what I want to do) and Fiance is 22, will be 23 when we get married. Most of my friends aren’t even thinking about marriage yet, but they’re having fun helping me plan my wedding!

I am 29, Fiance is 32.  We are both the last of practically everyone we know to get married.  Also, most of them already have at least one child.  Then again, I am the very top end of the 20s here.  Sorry to skew the poll. HA

This is my second marriage. I was the first to get married amongst most of my friends. I am the first to have a second marriage too, hahaha! I don’t know if that is something to boast; I find it to be quite hilarious. I was a virgin all through high school and had my first kiss the day I graduated. Everyone else had boyfriends. But, I am still in my 20s, I will be around 30 by the wedding.

I was the first to get engaged and married (and first to get divorced). Now everyone else has gotten married and I’m finally there (again) right after them.

I was the fourth person out of my friend group to get engaged, but all of us got engaged in the same year and are all getting married this year! So I’m also the fourth to be married. We are all between the age of 21-23. After I got engaged the list has kept growing…so.many.weddings.

Of our close friends, we are the first at 24. Plenty of acquaintances are married/divorced/have children. We are planning on a long (three yearsish) engagement, so someone could totally get engaged and have a wedding before we actually get married. We are friends with one couple, who I’m hoping will get engaged soon (about the same age, dating for same lenght of time), so if it’s anyone it’s likely going to be them! All of our other close friends are either single, or have been dating people for less than a year, and although their SO’s seem great, and they all seem happy, I don’t think that any of them are the types to get engaged and married after only a year or two. None of us have a “OMG NEED TO MARRY NOOOW” mindset.  FI and I are kind of a fluke. We knew each other for years before we dated, we’ve lived together for four years, been dating for five. Neither of were looking for a wife/husband at all, so we’re super comfortable taking our time. We call it a “perfect storm”.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed for our couple of our friends, though!

I feel like my fiancé and I are the first people in our group to get engaged and married, though that’s not really true. I’m almost 23 and will be 24 on the big day, my groom will be close-ish to 26. As far as my fiancé and I know, no one else we were close to in high school is engaged. But here’s the deal: My sister got married when I was 16 and she was 20, though the marriage lasted less than a year. My brother and his partner call eachother husband, and together with his partner’s sister are raising her kids, but they never had a wedding and aren’t domestic partners. Both my fiancé’s older brothers are married, but they’re 8 and 12 years younger than them, and I think will be a little younger than they were on their days. We went to a friend’s wedding last year, but he’s 30. I have a good friend, 25, who basically eloped after moving to Seattle. My best friend,  who I’ve been crazy close to since we were 2, is in a serious relationship, and grr! at her for joking that they’d get married the day before. 😛

So yeah, if anyone actually cared enough to read all that, thank you. Do you feel the same way, that you might as well be, thought technically you aren’t?
