I did a TTD session but I didn’t really want to ruin my dress so I asked my sister if i could use hers (she got married in 2000 but divorced a few years later). In all honesty though I could have worn mine. It didn’t get as messy as I thought it would – just be careful to look where you sit! I barely avoided a rock with tons of algea on it that would have def gotten on and stained my dress.

Here are my pics if you want to check them out! http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/trashed

I am going to, and I can’t wait!! That’s one of the reasons I wanted a DW! I think I’m going to get a second dress, maybe a replica off the Internet or eBay.

I love my dress way too much to “trash” it.  If you are determined to get the pictures (and in St Thomas, I bet they would be fabulous), get a second dress!  Then you have those pics and also a dress to preserve for your daughter or whatever reason you want to keep it.  Then again, if you don’t plan on preserving your dress, you might as well trash it…

@mrs.folks:  That i havent figured out yet… i did talk to the photographer and she said it could be as simple as laying in the sand or as elaborate as we want as well… shes pretty high demand where im from so shes done tons of TTD and she said that the dresses are so simple to clean… I’m just hoping not to rip it.

I’m tempted to do it. I think it would be awesome, but then I doubt I’d be able to wear it again at an AHR.  That, I believe, will ultimately be the reason I don’t do it.
