No garter toss and no garter. What is that supposedly holding up anyway- who wears stockings anymore? Wink

We didn’t do a garter toss, either, and I chose not to wear one.  It was one less thing to worry about and spend money on.  But, if you like them, or need an easy way to incorporate “something blue,” go for it.

We’re not doing a toss of any kind, but I’m wearing two garters! I got one as my something blue (it has a blue ribbon) and I bought it at a store I used to go to all the time with my grandparents. It’s a bit large so I have to stitch it, but it was worth it (and it was only about $5). Then I found an Army one so I had to get that one too.

Yes. Just because you aren’t doing a toss doesn’t mean you can’t wear the garter. It’ll just be for your FIs eyes in the honeymoon suite. Just don’t get the toss garter or at least don’t wear it, because the toss garter is what the groom would toss if doing it.

I didn’t bother. Just one less thing that I had to worry about remembering and wearing the day of.

No garter toss, but my aunt made veils and garters for all the ladies in our family, and since I may not be wearing a veil, she offered to still make a garter. So I’ll wear it for her! But otherwise I wouldn’t bother unless Fiance specifically asked for one.

Nope.. I don’t need that thing cutting off my circulation.

No toss, no garter. I’ll have a vintage gown, crinoline, panty hose, slip, Spanx, and a stapless bra. My body will have enough on it!

I think it’s my only chance to really wear one, so why not? It’s also my “something blue.” We’re not doing a garter toss though!

@blueskye:  I agree. Its the only chance (unless you decided to wear one to prom) to wear a garter, so heck yes I want to 🙂

We’re not doing a garter toss, but I think I may wear one anyways. If not to the wedding, I’ll put it on with my wedding night lingerie! 🙂  I agree—it’s the only time you’ll really get to wear one, and that was my rationale for deciding on a veil too!

Not doing a garter toss and will not be wearing one. I’m thinking it would just be another thing to spend money on that we don’t need plus I’d be worrying about it falling down/being uncomfortable all night.

We were originally going to do a garter toss, but nixed it because my legs were so sweaty under my dress! Outdoor wedding in July, haha. I didn’t want to subject anyone else to that besides Darling Husband 0:)

Yep. Fiance loves them, functional or no. No skeevy toss though.
