No.  They kept asking me about it when I was trying on my dress and I kept telling them that I didn’t think so.  They finally put one on me, but I just wasn’t feeling it.  I love my hair and don’t want it covered.  I love my dress and don’t want it covered, either.  I also love my face and . . . well, you see where I’m getting at.  I will wear a feather fascinator in our colors, though I haven’t chosen it yet. Maybe something like this:

I thought I wanted a birdcage, then nothing at all, then said what the hell and got a cathedral-length raw edge veil with a blusher (that I wore over my face!) for $29 on etsy.  So glad I did it.

No veil for me. I opted for flowers instead.

No veil for me. I am going with a fascinator I had custom made on Etsy:

I wore a mid-length, scalloped edge, beaded veil, about fingertip length… Actually, it hit almost exactly where the skirt of my mermaid dress began 🙂

Yes, I will be wearing a veil…. specifically this veil (see below) but with a slightly different dress (Fatima is shown, but I will be wearing Dabra). I like that the veil is short and almost hugs my shoulders. It really balances out the poofy skirt of the dress.

Yes to a veil, no to a blusher.

    To be truthful,

    I haven’t decided.

This will be my second marriage.

First time round… I was married in 1981.  Hats were all the rage and anything that had sort of a Victorian feel to it.

    Pic – Bride 1981 = http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_03DYdkDcUVM/TR5Hz22pjhI/AAAAAAAADj8/KzWg6dFKCz0/s1600/IMAG0305.jpg

    This time round…

I am hoping to go for a very different look, and open to ANYTHING that isn’t what I did the last time.

Many publications say a “second time bride” shouldn’t opt for a veil… especially so if she is a “Mature” Bride

I however think that the whole gamut is wide open… as long as it isn’t something I’ve done before, I’m willing to give it a whirl this time round…

I haven’t chosen my dress as of yet… but I truly am willing to consider all my options… Flower Adornment – Tiara – Fascinator – or Veil…

Lol, anything but another hat.  Will keep you all posted.

I’m wearing an elbow-length veil for the ceremony and pictures afterwards, and then switching to a big flower for the reception.  My hair stylist is trying to convince me to wear the flower for the whole thing and then just remove the veil, but I’m not yet convinced that a veil and flower can work well together.

I wore a short veil.  Not wearing one was not even an option to me.
