I voted yes bc I cant see myself without one. Im only wearing it for the ceremony and taking it off afterward.

I’m planning on it.  The only reasoning is because it is bridal and will make me look nice and it is something I always pictured myself with.  I don’t think I’ll wear it after the ceremony/reception though.

I had planned to but we had a destination wedding on the beach and the wind blew WAY to much!

I’m wearing a veil for the ceremony because my mom really wants me to (and I think they’re pretty) but I’ll replace it with a flower or headband for the reception. I think it would get in my way if I wore it all night.

I am not wearing on, simply because I don’t think it suits me.  I tried one on with my dress and didn’t feel like myself, so I’m not going to wear one.

I’m totally planning on wearing a veil, but just a fingertip or elbow length one, and just for the ceremony and some pictures.  When else do you get to wear a veil?!?!?!  (I’ve been saying this about everything I kind of want for the wedding, though…).  Apparently veils suit me also, says the bridal consultant, but I think it really just tops off the look and is so classic.

I’m obsessed with long veils – um hello, how amazing are the photos you can get!?

I wore a veil for three reasons.  First, I think it provides a very traditional, formal, “finished” look for a bride.  Second, I thought, “When else  would I ever  be able to wear a veil again for the rest of my life?” Finally, although I’ve subsequently learned that veils did not actually originate as symbols of purity and virginity, at the time of my wedding, I believed that they did.  Since, because of my faith, I chose to wait until I was married to have sex, I really wanted to wear a veil (and a blusher while I walked down the aisle) for my wedding.

I loved my cathedral-length, Swarovski-crystal adorned veil, and I even ended up wearing it throughout my reception (long story, but we didn’t do family pics until after dinner.) I do wish I had taken it off at SOME point during the night so that I would have had some pictures of my beautiful up-do, however.  It made me very sad that I had not a single pro pic of myself without the veil, so I later had a formal bridal portrait taken without the veil.

Yes, but only for the ceremony to please the older family members. Not in any pictures before or after. I guess I’m happy with the choice, the veil is non refundable so I guess I’ll be wearing it no matter what! haha

Although I also envisioned myself wearing a veil on my wedding day, I’ve decided not to. Every veil that I’ve tried on, I feel overpowers my petite frame and my dress. I’ve also tried birdcage veils, however, I really didn’t like the way it looked on me either.

To compensate, My hairdo will be soft/voluminous curls (half up) and will wear hair flowers as a final touch. Plus it’s a garden theme wedding. So it works! 🙂

I loooove long veils but I am not sure if I will wear one at all. I really want to, but my dress already has layers so I think it might be too much
