@jpmorgan:  I probably only would if it were winter and freezing and I needed the additional layer.

I got married in a green house ceremony/outdoor reception on a very hot day in August. I did not wear pantyhose. In fact, if I could have gotten away with it, I would have gone naked! Luckily I was so happy I didn’t notice the heat, and I had a lot of people providing me with water to prevent heat stroke 😉

I didn’t.  First, my legs were fully covered because my dress was long.  Plus, most wedding dresses are several layers thick even if you don’t wear additional layers underneath.  Also, it’s considered a fashion faux pas to wear nylons or tights with strappy sandals and/or open-toe shoes, which is what I wore.  Lastly, I had my one and only pedicure and my toes were painted super cute…nylons would have just covered that up!

Nope. Too warm, too constricting, and my dress covers my legs anyways (:

I wore stockings and suspenders (a garter belt). I was wearing peep-toe shoes but they were vintage style and a nice girl wouldn’t be seen without her nylons in the 1940s or 1950s.

    And pantyhose/tights are EVIL!

I won’t be. The bathroom thing is going to be hard enough without that as well!

Nope. My mom wanted me to. I figured I didn’t need anything making me more uncomfortable than I had to be, and they always bite into my stomach uncomfortably. Maybe if I’d had a garter belt. My BMs wore them under their dresses because it was cold, but my dress was heavy so it kept my legs plenty warm.

    Hell. NO!

It was about 90 degress on my wedding day. I was doing fine until towards the end of our photo session right before the reception. By the time we got inside, I could feel sweat dripping on my legs. I would have DIED with panthose on.

I got married in summer and I wore sheer stockings (along with a suspender belt).

I wanted to be the whole package on my wedding day.  It wasn’t that hard going to the toilet, the dress was the worst part but I had my 2 sisters to help.

I did the first time I got married because I didn’t want my thighs to rub together, but I didn’t for my recent wedding because we were on the beach.

I’m not wearing spanx, but control top wouldn’t hurt. My shoes are closed-toe, so I could get away with it- they’d be a lot more comfortable- I may wear knee highs for the first hour or so, to try to put off the blisters as long as possible.

no, i didn’t.  i hate just wearing socks let alone pantyhose.

my dress was long and had so many layers; i wouldn’t been too warm.
