I have to wear flats with my wedding dress. I ordered a pair of shoes…I hate them. I dont want to wear open toe shoes though. I thought about toms. I have never worn Toms before though. Opinions on Toms and wedding dresses?

I have a friend who wore (sparkly, blue) Toms under her dress.
She was so comfy, and totally reccomended them to me!
My dress is short, so if I wear comfy shoes I may wear Converse sneakers, just for fun. 😛

@jesssamesssa: I think Toms are a little too casual looking to go with a wedding dress. Those are great for grocery shopping, but not so much for a wedding.

What are toms? I’m thinking of Dr Marten boots or cowgirl boots as I have really weak ankles.

I thought about it for a moment, but I didn’t think it was formal enough with my dress.
I thought about something like this:

Personally I like more formal shoes but if you can’t see your shoes except for a photo or two then go for it. Friend and her husband wore matching green skateboard sneakers at their wedding. It’s funny because most people didn’t know they were wearing the same sneakers. They just it was weird that he was wearing sneakers

I pretty much always wear converse/toms when I wear foemal dresses. it matches my personality so it works. It’s about the look you want, and who you are.
Edit: I’m wearing foot jewelly for the wedding instead of shoes 🙂

Im thinking about wearing the wedding glitter ones. They are ivory with glitter on them. My dress is ivory with crystal and sequin accents. I like the lace ones but that lace is wayyyyy different than the lace on my dress!! Toms arent my style which is why I am hesitant but no one will see them….just the tip of them maybe.

@jesssamesssa: I wore Toms during my reception. I highly, highly recommend them. On Etsy, you can also get the canvas version painted. I got mine painted with my favourite baseball team’s logo.
