Technically yes, but we didn’t meet until my last semester and he had been graduated for years.

But we have known each other since we were about 6. We went to the same University and lived with each other while we were at Uni (with others) we got together while we at Uni though.

I was going to study something else at a different college but changed my mind last minute and also changed colleges. It was THE best thing I have ever done because I met my OH there.

He was friends with my brother (so on a different course to me) and we met whilst I was bugging my brother! Asked me on a date and the rest is history 🙂

I did the long-distance thing with a boyfriend when we went to separate colleges. We talked about me transferring and eventually I did, partly because of that and partly because it was a little closer to my home and I worked in my hometown on the weekends. Turns out I really didn’t want to be in the same place as him because I learned about some not-so-great things he was doing that was much easier for him to hide when I was an hour away! Yuck.

The cool thing is, I met Darling Husband my first few weeks at the new university. He lived 4 doors down from me in the dorms. We started hanging out after classes and he introduced me to his friends (since I didn’t know anyone and Mr. Ex and I broke up).

The rest is history. 🙂

I know how hard long-distance can be. Darling Husband and I had to do it for 4 months when he moved to Ohio to get a job and find a place to live while I was still in my last semester of school in PA. I’m not saying long-distance always works, but if you love each other and you keep the communication going, it will get better. 🙂

No, we met just before my 23rd birthday, a year after I graduated.

My husband is my college sweethearts.

We met on our first day of school in our first class of the day. He sat across from me in biology & there was an instant connection. We were inseperable from our second week of classes.

We are now undergrad seniors & been married for 6 months. We have lived together pretty much since we met, & his major is my minor, we had have had a LOT of classes together.

It has been fantastic to go to the same school actually. A lot of days we can drive together if out classes schedule times work out, and for a lot of the classes we had together, we would help &/or do each others homework.

We go to a private liberal arts college, so there are a lot of odd graduate requirements like a huge portfolio of all of our college work, and I like that we can help each other. Plus, we will walk across the stage for graduation together, which is really cool (plus I just realized that we will probably walk one after the other since we both have the same last name now!) My sister and her husband were college sweethearts as well, and graduated together too (although her husband is 6yrs older than her & my husband & I are the same age).

@Mircat:  Yes. We went to the same High School and knew of each other through our older siblings (they were friends and he became friends with my older sister during his Senior year of College). Both my sisters, my Fiance, my older sister’s Fiance, and I all went to the same College.

We met when I started my PhD and he started his MA; we had about two years on campus together, in the same department and with offices right down the hall from each other. It was a lot of fun, actually. There was always someone to get coffee or lunch with, our days started and finished at the same time, and we were taking several of the same classes so it gave us a built-in person to discuss the readings with. It also is great because even though his area of research is really different than mine, he understands what my work is and how I’m going about it. It really sucked when he left to his PhD in a different country (aside from the obvious reasons) because I really missed having coffee and chatting about our papers.

Yes, we lived on the same floor of the dorm and were good friends.  However, we didn’t start dating until 7 years later after I had graduated with my degrees.  The delay was likely for several reasons. including maturity and the fact that I was way too focused on school for a relationship that I thought was actually going somewhere.

Yes, we met in class (actually we’d had two classes together before that and he remembered me because he thought I was cute. It took me a while to recall him).

I feel like we weren’t the “traditional” college couple because he worked part-time, was doing an honors project and also commuted. We didn’t really go for all our meals together at the cafeteria or live together or anything.

We met in college on our university’s cross country team. Dh was a senior and I was a freshman… For that first year it was so fun hanging out between classes and seeing each other at practice everyday. He graduated the following December and went to grad school still in the same city so even though we didn’t see each other everyday, we still saw each other at least every weekend.

We’ve been out of college for several years, but we met and started dating our second year of college. We went to a huge public university and had very different majors so we never saw each other unless it was on purpose. We did take an elective class together senior year and that was fun. We were both in the Greek system so it was really fun to do those activities together.
