We met in college my freshman (his sophomore year). We lived in the same dorm. So we pretty much got to do the entire college experience together. We only got to take 2 classes together that whole time though (algebra and bowling)! We did get to hang out a lot, but only because we lived together. We both had really different schedules, so it wasn’t like we could go grab lunch together, or see each other between classes.

We lived in the same dorm! My freshman year I was on the second floor and he was a junior on the first floor. It was so nice having him with me at school. We took (goof off general ed. req.) classes and when I moved dorms my second year, he would walk me home. It was awesome! I was so lonely when he left after graduating. He would visit every weekend, but I still missed my on campus buddy.

We were long distance for 2 years because we went to different schools (3-4 hours away, so not too far, but just far enough). I always hated seeing happy couples walking around campus since I was so jealous! Once he graduated, he moved back to our hometown (where I am finishing up my last semester). It’s actually so much harder now to focus on school with him here! I definitely did better in my classes when we were long distance (but maybe its just senioritis too haha).

Unfortunately no. I went away to Florida for college. He goes to a community college in our hometown in New Jersey. So we’re long distance for a little over half of the year.

We may end up going to school together in the future though! I’m applying to graduate schools in New Jersey and he has to transfer at some point so it’s possible.

We actually went to rival colleges for undergrad, but we didn’t meet until I was in grad school (online). It’s actually really funny, because he has a deep, abiding hatred for my alma mater, and I really only worry about his one week out of the year.

@Mircat:  My FH and I went to the same univeristy.  We knew each other for my last 2 years.  Only the last year we were together.  We never had classes together, we were in different programs, but we purposely never selected electives together.

We didn’t study together – we had different habits – we usually just met up after classes or when we were done at the library.  We weren’t really together on campus much at all.

We met in university. It was really nice to get to spend time together, since we actually had the same major (but very different electives!) and we made friends as a couple, sort of – our individual friends mostly transitioned to our friends as a couple, and we had separate friends from classes or work sometimes.

I’m still with my high school sweetheart and we’ve gone to two colleges together. We started out at a smaller school then transferred. Our freshmen year we had a class togehter. But the past 3 years he’s only gone 2 days a week and works full time. Plus the 2 days he goes to school I don’t. I just drop him off and pick him up. Neither of have many friends at school so it’s just us lol

@ksn1219:  We are! Which meant that he was very, very frustrated this year when Tech almost one and still couldn’t pull it off.

Hubby and I met at college… he was the quiet new kid in the class that I decided to strike up a friendship with, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. We had all of our classes together and worked on assignments and studied together. But we spent a lot of our time at the back of class laughing and joking, which was very fun but very distracting!

@Mircat:  We are high school sweethearts who moved in together after high school, into a condo near our mutual university of choice. We are in different programs but we go to/from school together every day and we meet up for lunches and such when we can! It’s wonderful. Three years of living together later, and we could not be happier. Living with your best friend is always a good time 🙂

Yup – Fiance and I met at LSU during my freshman and his sophomore year in school. We didn’t really ever have classes together – I was a finance major and he was pre-med/bio-engineering. We did take a marketing class together (because he was a senior and needed an elective) and had a blast!

During college, we really only ever saw each other in the evenings and on the weekends. I loved being able to experience college life with him and I love that we have that connection now too. We still go back to football games and go to alum events in our city together.
