I did white linens and pewter BMs.  They were the same color as the cutlery, I guess.  LOL.

My linens are called clover, a lightish green, and my girls are in dark purple.

    Yes, but it’s a shade.

    Dark grey.

@Willow1991:  Can you do the purple underneath and an ivory overlay and purple napkins?  It will put the purple down where it’s darker and reduce the clashiness.

Same color family. All of the BMs chose a different green-ish dress (hunter, emerald and kelly) and the table clothes (really overlay) was a green-green with white underneath. It worked out just fine. No one really compared the BMs to the table linens or any other color present at the wedding.

Well, first off I don’t think you’re going to have a swarm of angry guests complaining that your girls are clashing with the table linens. That said, the wonderful thing about the purple colour family is that a lot of the shades look good together. If I saw a plum hue next to a dark purple I would think, ooh, pretty!

Either way, I wouldn’t change the entire look you want for your reception just because of your bridesmaids’ dresses.

Of course you want everything to coordinate, but my aunt wore a dress made of the same satin fabric as the table cloths and it looked ridiculous to me.
