I’m not gonna lie, the food is one of the most exciting parts of our wedding. It’s completely authentic New Mexican food – and some of the best I’ve ever had. People say there isn’t enought time for the bride and groom to eat, but we will most definitely be making time to enjoy our food!

Mmmm, Yes! Crabcakes, Catfish Fingers, Fried Chicken, yum yum. And cajun salmon. There’s more, but those are my favorites! Fiance got his beef–but the food is mostly my favorites because Fiance will eat anything.

Yes…

So far we’re planning on having an oyster bar with a guy shucking oysters, a grill station where they’ll grill shrimp, oysters and a couple of other things, then we’re going to have a comfort food station with mini burgers/fries and grilled cheese. Last, we’re having an antipasto/panini station, since it’s one of our favorite meals around here. Yummy! We’ll probably have a big cheese display as well. That’s a long list of food for only 50-75 ppl, but I am a huge fan of food!

in terms of the real food, no – i’m quite the simpleton & if we served my faves it would be pigs in blankets and mini burgers. the food will be much nicer than that, but I get my way with the dessert – 6 kinds of cupcakes, peanut butter brownies, sweet & salty brownies, truffles, chocolate covered strawberries & chocolate mousse. oh yeah.

No, we definitely didn’t have our favorites lol My favorite is spaghetti but my mom wouldn’t let me pick that (love Moms lol) and hubby’s fave is Lobster which we could in no way afford. Ours was yummy though. The best I ever had, no. But our cupcakes were to die for :p

Yes! We haven’t finalized our menu yet, but the one thing I told our caterer at the get-go was that mashed potatoes were a MUST. Mmmm, gotta have my favorite food represented!

Mr. Cloud is a HUGE fan of buffalo wings, like HUGE! So we are having boneless ones as an appetizer, he has just been warned to stay away from me! No messy fingers on my dress. They are supposed to be bite sized on a tooth pick but I am still nervous about it!

Ooooo yes, I could eat pasta all day every day so we’re having a pasta option as one of our main dishes. My FI’s only requirement was rum and coke at the bar, not sure if that counts. Smile

Oh geez, I’m just in the beggining stages of planning but I would LOVE to have fried chicken and waffles, in & out burgers, marshamllow milkshakes, steak frites with bearnaise sauce, coconut cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, old fashion super rich chocolate cake with cold milk, not to mention a chocolate buffet full of high quality chocolate goodies that would put Jacques Torres to shame, and the biggest bar selection ever (family loves to drink drink drink hahaha). I LOVE IT ALL YUM YUM YUM YUM

Is all of this possible? Probably not. But Imma FIGHT for them hahaha. Food is my number one priority. If I had the dream of all dreams come true, then my wedding would be catered at The French Laundry or Blue Hill Farm.

We’re having a lot of FH’s favorites for the wedding (stuffed mushrooms, mini crab cakes, roast beef, chocolate cake).  I figured I’d let him pick the menu for the day, he was more excited than I was.
